I haven't been gaming for a while, but from the past I was a big fan of strategy games, like Rome, Age of Empire, Sim City and Football Manager. To get back in the game. I read several reviews on the new games. Anno 2070 caught my eye immediately. High rating, a citybuilder, and I thought I have to buy this game!
Ok, I am new to the Anno series. So I expected some initial problems, getting to know the game. But not this bad. This must have been the most disappointing or should I say frustrating game experience ever!
It all starts really fancy. But once playing the campaigns, the game is terribly slow and even worse, sometimes the next mission is not unlocked, for no apparent reason! And then you have to start all over again.
Maybe I should try it in the endless mode. I have to admit, I play it via steam...but still, I was not hooked by the game at all.
So my advice don't buy it! I really don't get it why it is rated an 8.5. I must miss something......It is not for my generation? What happened to all the cool strategy games, where are they? They disappeared!
