Does anyone else think that the MC doesn't look half black.

I was actually shocked to learn that the character was half french. They couldn't have put more work into it?
It always gave me an uneasy feeling, when people call people with only a fraction of black ancestor black. For example Obama. No one ever said "First mixed president."
Just my thoughts though.

It's because shes African and Caucasian, like Obama, if she was African American and Caucasian she would look more white, or mixed, because African American's are 20% European.

That 20% thing is wrong. Really? 1/4th black? Try 1/16th to 1/64th for most
Besides that. I'm half African and White American, and I am light than the MC. My white family isn't pale, and my African side has the average shade of an African.

Skin shade don't really mean nothing. Look at her face features.
Her nose is flat like, most white people have pointy noise, her lips are dark and thick, and her hair is really dark.
Not trying to offend anyone.
Black or not, as long as the game is fun, have good story and controls, and good good graphics then I don't who I play as. LOL.

Mixed people usually have either mixed traits or traits of the more dominant gene (Usually black)
Their hair is curly (Bushy/Kinky + Straight)
Their noses are usually average (Peaked + Flat)
Mixed people normally have thick lips
Mixed people normally have dark eyes but can have green.
Their general jaw structure is mixed.
Skin usually caramel and has a yellow/tan tint to it.

She's looks mixed because she has African American features, (which indicates one of her parents are black), but her skin is really light. Kinda like caramel color (which indicate she's not 100% black and mix with something.)
Can't get a good look at her hair, but it really doesn't look kinky,
I don't know.

I said this before. Her skin is actually like a milk chocolate like color. She has the same skin tone a light black would have. Her hair is straight (Doesn't make sense) when it should be curly. Her lips are also dark.
Does it matter?
It feels awkward playing as a girl that is supposedly mixed when she looks nothing like how a mix would. I mixed myself, and I have seen plenty of people that are. It's like a game telling you you are playing as an Irish guy, and then you get a guy that looks like he is from the Jersey Shore cast.

White people can have natural afros, white people are FROM Africa. The gene(s) for curly hair doesn't disappear; through natural selection White people have obtains straight hair that is better adapted to the climates they migrated to hundreds of years ago.

And you get any whiter than from the mother land of Europe(specifically Uk). White people can have very tight curls, but not natural afros. Black people can have curls, but not straight hair. I won't accept otherwise unless you prove me wrong with cited evidence.
This character has naturally straight hair which is not possible for a mixed person. It always comes out curly.
Black people can either have afroish or curly hair, and white people can only have straight or curly hair. So any way you put it the offspring has to have curly hair, whether they are tightly curled or loosely. The MC perfect naturally straight hair makes no sense for some one who is half African and French
I already pointed out that her nose was flat, and that her lips were dark.
I said it before and I will say it again: Her skin tone doesn't make sense. Google pictures of French people if you need to. The majority are pale. African slaves were dark. An offspring of the two should not be as dark as the character is.

Well the person I mentioned was from Africa indeed their hair is not permed or fixed, however I do not know their entire heritage and whether they are 100% African-native. Europeans have had their hands in Africa for quite some time, it's not hard to believe some euros would breed with the native africans and give their kids straight hair.
I don't really know any native french people so I am not familiar with their skin tones, all I know is that they are similar in color to a person from England. Perhaps MC's father wasn't that pale so MC retained darker skin.In lieu of this, I suspect the developers were just to capture major features of each ethnicity.

TC, this is just a game.
The main character was made by humans, not God.
I don't think the developers know a lot about mix races or anything. Maybe it's a mistake? Maybe they wanted her to look more African?

The reason why people do that is because they believe in that 'one drop rule' crap. Yes, it's annoying that everyone keeps calling Obama black or w/e. And you said it yourself, Africans have dominate genes, meaning a mix person would look more black and people would call them black because they actually look black and people don't know their other half.

You mean like bob ross?? I'm pretty sure that its a certain gene that gives afro type hair, its just not normally present in whites. If they have some black in their ancestry then its quite possible for them to inherit it.
Not sure how you are saying the MC doesn't have black hair...you really can't tell what type of hair she has. Its braided. But why in the hell does it matter???? Why in the world does ubisoft have to do things 100% "right" just to appease black people? You don't see native american people coming on the forums saying the ac3 mc isn't native american enough do you????
