@ Rousie14 Last of Us may be getting alot of Air play and net hits. The game looks to be great. If Naughty Dog can make an awesome game like Uncharted not 1x but 3x. I have complete confidence they will make a great new IP named The Last Of Us.

Missed the Sony E3 2012 conference? Get caught up with this handy mash-up.
giant enemy crab was fun and entertaining, wonderbook is just boring to watch. nintendo won this year meme contest.
I thought Sony had the most balanced conference and was the least gimmicky. Looking forward to All-Stars!!
@Rousie14 bleh....poor taste confirmed
@Rousie14 So is every war game, at least its fresh....
@Tacoholic23 isnt the last of us a zombie game. How do you define fresh when its been overused by indie and movie developers over the last few decades?
@nubowner @y3ivan If you watch the first cinematic trailer you'll see what the infected look like and, yes... they're pretty much zombies at that point. The demo only showed them surviving against other, more ruthless, survivors.
@y3ivan did u see a single zombie in that gameplay demo?
In my opinion... the winner wasn't a console company. It was Ubisoft. All the consoles bragged about what they had but each also showed off at least 2 Ubisoft games.
Actually, ALL of the conferences kinda sucked. Nintendo was by far the worst, period. The Wii U is nothing more than a Wii in HD. Nintendo showed off Wii U games that launched on the 360/PS3 months ago. The funny thing is they didn't look any better and had hardly anything new added to them. Nintendo has went for the casual crowd 100%. They showed it by introducing the Wii, and further cemented that position by the Wii U. They don't care about any sort of media services or even simple things like dvd playback. They have no sort of online service at all that any adult wouldn't feel like a pedophile using. The Wii U is a joke of technology and even the casuals may not find that it differentiates itself enough from the Wii to justify the purchase.
Sony had the best presentation as far as games go. And yes, games are the primary reason for gamers, but what do you do in the weeks and months when there are no decent games to play? I personally use the tons of different media features in the 360. Sony showed nothing good on the services front, which I would argue, are just as important to alot of people as games are. I own both the 360 and PS3, but I haven't had a reason to turn my PS3 on since Uncharted 3. So I'm excited they announced some awesome looking games. God of War was totally stale, so hopefully the differences in the new one make it feel new again. But I would really like to see Sony start to innovate in the "services" department and the arcade games department. If I haven't had anything good to play since Uncharted 3, services and media functionality would've helped fill the void, not to mention having some awesome arcade games would be just as good as a new retail game. Get on that Sony!
Microsoft had the best "services" and innovation press conference. Smart Glass looks really cool and seems like it could have endless uses. The best part about it is that they aren't limiting it to only Windows phones, but both Android and iOS users can enjoy it as well. The new Splinter Cell, one of my favorite franchises, looks sick. Can't wait for that. Clearly Microsoft is winding down on the current gen of consoles. They didn't really show much in the games department that we didn't know was already in the works, except for Splinter Cell. Microsoft also really excels in the arcade games area. Many times I've been more satisfied with an arcade game, from Xbox Live Arcade, than a full retail game experience. Their "Summer of Arcade" is coming soon and looks like it'll provide a handful of good games to play. It seems like many of the Sony fanboys don't give services and media the credit they deserve. Lately I've been using HBO Go more than regular television. HBO Go has any/all HBO series that were ever made, from the very first episode to the series finale. You can watch Oz, The Sopranos, The Wire, ect.... from start to finish. So watching the episodes of Game of Thrones that I missed and catching up on True Blood before the new season starts are just as important to many people as having good games to play. HBO Go is pretty much available on mobile devices and the 360 is one of the few devices that puts it on your tv screen. Microsoft already has a ton of apps and services, so hearing that they're expanding them even more is great. The weakness in Microsofts' camp is exclusives and first-party games. I understand that they prefer to pay 3rd parties to make exclusives for them, but dam Microsoft... you need to start making some of your own games again, besides Halo. Sony's first party offerings are almost as good as Nintendo's is now, and Sony has a ton of internal studios.
So that's my take on what went down and what needs to improve. Like I said... Nintendo was by far the most disappointing. Sony and Microsoft, imo, were equal, but focused on different parts of their consoles. People that prefer app, services and media will think MS offered more. While people that look for games as their primary means of entertainment would think Sony had the better showing. I love both games and services/media equally and I'm glad the two conferences were so different from each other.
@Vodoo Nintendo was THE best. Who cares what the ported games look like, the exclusives will look much better than MS or Sony's and the new controller was awesome. Microsoft's was nowhere near as good as Sony's conf. because all they really hyped were multi-platform MP games.
@Vodoo TL;DR version
@Vodoo Who the fuck read all that? Not me. Any point you may have had is lost to me. I kept telling people is a comment section. Not a blog. Oh yeah I forgot. TL ; DR.
@Vodoo I'm sorry but... are you serious? Does Assassins Creed 3 not sound like a hardcore game to you? You sort of failed to recognize that the Xbox and Playstation consoles have Always just been HD version, where as Nintendo has tried doing things in a new way. First the Wii, then the 3DS, and now the Wii U. They're trying to innovate, and this time they're trying to encompass the more hardcore crowd with them too.
Also, sure Smart Glass looked interesting. But saying that it has endless uses... eh, i really only see one use...
@Vodoo You posted the exact same thing in the Microsoft video.
If there is one thing that most of you didn't notice on sonys Conference, they did not talk or focus on 3D games! I was surprise that Sony never talk about 3D like they did for the past 2 years.
MS on the other hand only talk on Kinect games not so much like they did last years. I say that sony and MS show was really good but not the best and as for Nintendo, they could have done better buy giving so much more detail on Wii U at lease. I give this years E3 a Grade-C.
@halo117xbox I have an Xbox 360 and PS3 and guess what? I like them both. I have Gears of War trilogy and Uncharted trilogy and guess what? I like them both. So start being a Gamer and stop your Hating for once in your life.
Sony had an alright showing at best, but comparing to Nintendo and Microsoft's abysmal offerings, they are the winner again.
@chaosbrigade thank you for not exaggerating out of fanboyism unlike everyone else here...this e3 blew next one has gotta be way better
lol...remember that old commercial for that thing that would put u in a movie and there was a kid being arnold schamcahcanager...this video brought that memory to my head
I love you MAN! Well i love Ken Kutaragi for what he has done with the PS&PS2. Kaz Hirai is still a good (not perfect) Successor. Best of E3 for me. UbiSoft was cool also .
@Albaficas best mash up by gamespot - microsoft conference. The guy who did the mixing should get promoted.
Only things missing were more Vita games and Last Guardian. Too bad they are saving that for TGS. A new console info would have helped too. Overall this was my favorite E3 Conference next to Ubi.
I liked the Sony conference this year. It seemed a little more down to earth and original. They just laid everything out without trying to BS you and focused mainly on their exclusives which looked pretty badass. They also learned from that lame celebrity showdown that everybody made fun of last year. Microsoft tried the usual sort of flash but it was kind of like "Hey, get excited for another black ops, Halo, Tomb Raider, Gears, etc that haven't evolved the slightest bit in 5+ years, hurray."
The best games are for the ps3 (like the last of us, beyond, GoWA, etc). But the book thing is the lamest thing I've heard about this E3, lol. Who will really buy this? Come on.
the part when he kept saying conner and i love you man over and over was so f**king annoying. I'm mad I even watched this now cuz of that
I am a Sony fanboy of some sort, but I was disappointed with the conference. Microsoft had a better conference, they showed off new services and the interesting smart glass. Sony sadly didn't announce any new services like Adult Swim on Ps3 like I had wished for. :) All they really did was show off a few cool looking games and showed how great PS Plus is good for saving money on gaming. I did a video about the conference and woould appreciate if you guys checked it out and maybe subscribed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWmp6i-okGk
@victormgs777 M$ sucked and 98% agree that they had the worse conference
@victormgs777 I take it media and apps are first for you and games take a back seat. Because you posted this on the 360 E3 2012 Conference Mash-up too. I hate to break it to you, but most people on this site care about games more than anything else. (including me) I didn't buy a PS3, 360 to watch adult swim on it.
@ExplicitMike Games of course come first, but consoles are on the verge of dying off so they're becoming media devices. It's great to have a console that acts as cable box, streaming device and internet broswer. Games undoubtedly important, but no one really blew me away except the Last of Us, Watch Dogs and Metal Gear Rising.
@victormgs777 You mentioned Last of Us, but where were the exclusives new games from MS. They showcase nothing but sequels. I would say more positive things about MS if they had at least one new game that wasn't a kinect tittle. There are plenty of multimedia devices that do everything you want. Most people care about the games. Not the extra stuff. You are not gonna find too many people to agree that MS had the best Conference. Probably more agree it was the worst.
