Civil War? Come on! there will be lots of guys with guns and a very few with swords. Fighting opponents with swords it's great!

@chkmode Does it matter who he is killing? Are you really that offended by him killing people? Its an assassins game he KILLS people. Thats the point of the game it always has been. If you dont like it dont play it.
1 Like is everyone happy now you get to kill americans not just the english in the trailers, i'm british and i'd hate it when you see a trailer and loads of us would say "oh my god he's still killing red coats", just shut the fuck up its a game, but their you go he killed 2 americans or technically they'd still be English until the end of the Revolution because they haven't declared themselves as Americans yet.... Didn't think of that hay lol

2 Like I am a big fan of the AC series and I liked playing as Ezio since part 2, but the new assassin, Connor, looks like a good change of pace. He is so fluid with his moovements and everything looks like it flows perfectly...Oh yeah, did he take out his hidden blade and make it a knife? This game is going to be awesome, I'm so going to get it!!!
Am I the only one that thinks the voice over in this sounds like Tobuscus's announcer voice?
The naval battles look tight. I just can't believe how little they care about PC gamers. I get a new system & a new GTX680 on the way, and I'm wanting to get it on console just because of the horror stories. What a shame!
1 Like Please tell me this new engine is equally designed for current PCs and isn't some hack-job cutting every corner to try to make 8-year-old PCs (i.e. consoles) look better.

This is very reminiscent of the Red Dead previews lol. I would actually like to see Ubi try their hand at making a Western themed game. Whether its a part of the Assassins Creed franchise or stand-alone.
This vid shows theyre very capable of doing it.

Now about your remarks calling me a "blind bat" , there is a difference between being blind and not looking for something ("texture" problems.) Firstly, because a game is a GAME and will have SOME digital errors...it's fucking electronics we are talking about here! I mean, Ezio had that flare to him and Altair had the cool calculated efficiency.....but Connor KILLS it that swift hunter-like rawness. But the cool thing is it's actually not tastelessly done b/c he moves w/ such athletic grace as he does it.
3 Like Looks awesome...except it's Ubisoft, so the DRM will naturally be some of the most invasive on the market. Unless player reviews are nothing short of "best game of the decade, ever, period" from everyone...I probably won't touch it.Which makes me kinda sad, 'cause it looks fracking gorgeous.
Is the Uplay their DRM? If so, I'll definitely get for 360 instead, as I don't want that rootkit on my PC.

Ah well, us gamers got to take a stand against this trashy DRM at some point, at least console users get to enjoy DRM free.

But the cool think w/ Ubi is that they always know how to put a good trailer together anyway. So, it's kinda understandable to add this one into the hype machine, too. They just did it so sick you can't help it. XD
@PumpkinBoogie Yeah, they do know how to do trailers that can get people on the hype train. Especially with the AC series. I'm glad I'm not alone lol
4 Like Why is it always New York? I get that is our most famous city but during the revolution it really wasnt anything more that a trade port. I expected to see alot more cities.Im happy that at least Boston is playing a role sice the infamous tea party but what about Philidelphia,PA, Richmond,VA, Dover, DE hell the mid-atlantic played huge roles in the war. This was the birth of the Virginia Dynasty and it was the only royal colony in the the states so the british loyalty was high in Va especially in Willamsburg. It just shocks me that they would choose New York as a focus point when in truth Philidelphia should have took center stage.
1 Like In all honesty man I'm assuming it's due to distance of the cities. If it was Philidelphia you would be on a long ass journey lol! I totally agree with you though man , as I'm native to Philly and love history. Philidelphia should have been in it BUT Boston was a HUGE role during that era. So give a little take a little I guess. I'm super pumped for this though..looks like the game I've been wishing the always made it..huge maps and tons of exploration!! Great franchise.
@Alverthian Ive wondered the same thing. At least this time we see the 18th century New York for a change. I hope there are smaller towns/events also like Bunker Hill or Trenton for example. Would be great if Hessians were in the game at some point lol.

Being a native Virginian (man, I've lost track of how many countles Williamsburg & Jamestown school fieldtrips I've taken as a kid, lol), I'm little disappointed they completely overlooked VA, especially in terms of this part of US history--as being one of first colonized states I think that was kinda lame of them.
I mean, I suppose I get the want to be sure to tie some things back to the other AC games (as I heard there is some situation in which Desmond ends up in NY? DON'T TELL ME, I haven't finished catching up yet, just sayin' a bit of what heard), but still that's quite and unforgivable oversight to ignore the importance of VA......<_<.
1 Like They were planning on Philly being a central part - but the old maps of the city showed grid format. They picked Boston because the layout was more varied.
1 Like Like ActionManly said - they were talking about period maps. Which means Philly was probably in the preliminary plans until they started their historical research.
If you don't believe me - look up some dev team interviews. It's not a big secret really.
@phoenixca Maybe it isn't in a grid system now, but back 300 years ago when it was still a young colony it is likely it had one.

1 Like @Alverthian well NY was just shown in this trailer.. i doubt its just concentrating on NY only anyway.. maybe a small part though.. besides, they mention you get to explore the entire continent! I'm sure there is MUCH more to go around..
@Alverthian Yeah they should have made NY just a small part of the game. Like in the early games when you go to a special area at the end. While a lot of things happened in NY, way more happened in Boston and Philly.
