ok, i read the details about the joker's death, i watched videos, and i just now beat the game.....
but the joker died? hm... i'm not sure on this.

now lets look here, joker is up on the equipment, bat throws sword.
lightning energized tezla coil swings down and knocks clay face into the Lazarus pit...
    wait..

in joker's bad health how did he climb down and manage to stab batman in the shoulder so quickly?

now nif we watched the scene in batman's flashbacks correctly.... clay face sat in the wheel chair pretending to be dead and batman's computer read no vitals, thus clay face reads as dead.

whats the chance that joker actually took some of the cure and clay face pretended to die at the end while joker sneaked away?

they also don't mention the poison'ed people in gotham.

Be prepared to be branded as a Joker fanboy for even considering that there is more than meets the eye to the ending.

they did say we missed one easter egg.
and it would be right under our nose.

and i prefer mr. freeze over the joker, it just... joker is batman's iconic villain like lex luther is to superman.

I won't call him a Joker fanboy for pitching a theory that he's alive or simply being in disbelief that he's dead.

I WILL call him a Joker fanboy if he breaks down sobbing and screaming and simply DEMANDING he brought back because the entire Batman mythos MUST come to an end simply because the clown isn't around to hog the limelight, because clearly no other villain could ever, EVER, be written well enough to carry a story!

That said though: Joker's dead. Move on.

Did you turn your brain off during the final scene? Batman carried it out and delivered it to the police gift-wrapped. Afterwards the cops, including ones that have hard feelings towards the clown for reasons too numerous to list took the body back to the morgue to do unspeakable things to it and make sure it was properly destroyed. Everyone knows the Joker didn't deserve a proper burial.

Umm... If you watched carefully, you'd notice that it WAS THE REAL JOKER in the wheel chair since when Batman used detective mode you can see his skeleton, but if you use detective mode on clayface, you don't see bones in him at all and that is evident in 3 places, during his boss fight, during the battle at the roller coaster room when he's impersonating joker and also during Arkham Asylum when he's in his cell.

As for the climbing down from the ceiling after Clayface fell in the Lazarus Pit, who said he climbed down? For all we know he could've fallen. I will admit that I do see a possibility of Joker coming back since he did lick up some of the cure and who knows, that small amount could've been enough but it could've had a delayed effect on him. Also how come detective mode said the real joker was dead in the wheel chair when a few moments later you see him get up? Does he have the ability to drop his vitals to fool even Batman?

There was a whole topic devoted to that very subject a while back, and nobody (including me) was able to come up with a plausible explanation. It's never explained in-game and I think it was just an oversight on Rocksteady's part. The problem is, you're dealing with a fictional piece of equipment that has the ability to measure a person's heart rate with no physical contact with the subject and without having to wait for the interval between beats. Maybe Detective Mode was on the fritz for those few seconds because Hammer kicked Bats in the face, or it registers someone as dead if their pulse slows below a certain amount, who knows. Trust me, you're going to get a migraine if you try to work that one out. :-)

Assuming they continue this game series, I'm sure they will ressurect the Joker at some point but, in this game, Joker died. That was the intention of the developers; there's no loopholes or anything--he's dead as far as this game is concerned.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure in HQR they talk about how the body went missing. Vicki Vale if I'm not mistaken reports on it and Gordon refuses to comment. If HQR hadn't come out then I would probably call you a Joker fanboy, because the Joker's death was one of the most powerful moments in Batman history, let alone gaming history. However with his body missing and those pictures on the wall in HQR showing the Joker coming back alive has me at least considering the possibility that Joker is going to make a come back in the next game.

Don't get me wrong I wish with every fiber of my being that the Joker remained dead, but after HQR I have less faith in rocksteady's grand plan for everything. I hope I'm wrong, but at this stage I wouldn't be surprised to see joker in arkham 3, just very disappointed.

Read Arkham Endgame, the comic that continues between AC and HQR, its looking pretty definite that he's dead but more and more likely that he will come back as a clone. Hopefully though with a games distance between his death and his return at least, give another villain some time to shine.

With the amazing attention to detail they still have to explain why the cure changed hands. Before the explosion its in one of Batman`s hands...then everything blows up and Batman faints and the cure is in another hand. Some say it was just a continuity error...but this is the studio who even hid an image to a secret in a cutscene (look it out) so why would they not do it intentionally?

i do have to agree, i would prefer the joker to be dead. hes ok for a bit but he begins to get on your nerves after awhile.

but i just see such a big loop hole with clay face being knocked into the lazerus pit/pool. perhaps joker fell in with him and they fused?..... um actually that sounds worse. forget i even suggested a joker with clay face's abilities.

No, she asks Gordon where the body is.

Gordon, being good at his job, refuses to comment.

If Harley knew where where the GCPD were keeping it, you'd bet she'd probably make an attempt to take it. Hell, even Penguin would want it so he could stuff it into a display case.

Batman took his body, so expect him to do something with it. I think if anyone can save him its bats.

I hope they have an open casket funeral at the beginning of the next game just to shut up all these people whining how "OMG! YOU CAN'T KILL JOKER!" What about Talia and Strange..? Didn't they both get offed as well..?

I hope he is finally dead in the Arkhamverse, gives other villains a chance to shine. Joker is definitely an amazing villain but he's overused and overrated.

Eh, you can't expect Ra's and Talia to stay dead.

Strange is really the only one I was disappointed that they killed off. In the trailers they made him seem like a big upcoming villain that might behind things for games to come. Yet his presence is pretty much non-existant up until the last 20 minutes of the game and he dies in a cutscene after getting Spartan-kicked by Batman. Really anticlimactic for him IMO.
