Battlefield 3: Armored Kill - Gameplay Premiere Trailer

That looks amazing! Should make for some intense fire fights. They even added an AC-130 Spectre gunship. 

Also, for those of you bashing this expansion, this game, or video games in general, your opinion will never leave this forum or influence the gaming industry. Unless you can somehow convince millions of people to put down their controller in an effort to starve the corporate bodies of their flow of green, there is really no point in wasting your time on these forums. Unless of course it is strictly for venting purposes. 

Good article. It's true i think what many are saying that BC 2 was a just a better game and i'm glad to be playing it again, in particular Vietnam and seeing so many people playing again. At the same time it's true i think DICE and Danger Close have become a relationship like that of Infinity Ward and Treyarch, both partnering creating basically the same games (engine, gameplay etc).

I think the " devolution" as far as DICE and DC has to do with trying make their games more in line with COD with the smaller more linear non destructive maps, not to mention the clunky even frustrating movement of the character you're controlling (MOH 10 Campaign) with the painted looking backdrop graphics (cartoon) and cheaper feel to its games. Simply put, it's about money.

Cheaper made games with much less emphasis on "quality" and more on hype and advertising seems to be where DICE and quite frankly many other game makers are going. COD really set a precedent. An old, small and rarely changed game model eliminates the need for money and rescources to be put towards more of a quality game, while monies that would ordinarily be put towards that, are now going towards "hyping" a game that quite frankly is not as good, or better than prior titles.

Saying that i don't know if it's "shooter fatigue" as much as it's "modern war shooter" fatigue. I think many like myself have had it with the Modern Genre, and if DICE and Black Ops did anything right, it was going back to the Cold War Vietnam Era. A welcome change, and quite enjoyable and a shame it was as short lived as it was. I will not be purchasing MOH of the next the Battlefield. I'll stick with older titles and wait for something more appealing.

My feeling is MOH is going to flop like the last title, and they really need to go back to what made them great. Great Campaigns (the best ever in my view) that focus on WW2 and the OSS. That's where it was at for them back in the day, and selling out to a much more fatigued setting is coming a bit late to the party.

This looks intense but  I have one question: What are Aftermath and End Game?

I have played all the BF games. Of them all I still enjoy BF3 the most. It is most definately more true to the "open" maps of the first BF game with tremendous improvements. While I liked BF:BC2, I felt it was lacking if for nothing else then the fact that characters could not prone. I am looking forward to Armored Kill far more then CQB as BF is and should always be about large maps and large battles over varied terrains and environs.

im a pc gamer who pretty much went from bf2 to bf3. i played a bit but not much of bc2. i am a little disapointed on how much bf3 is taking the road of bc2, medal of honor and even cod! its starting to piss me off they are trying to compete with do but everyone knows that bf player do NOT want a cod competitor they want the same feel that we had in bf2, with obviously some improvements. itll be interesting to see what happens with bf4....

Agree 100%.Lets stop making cinematic movies and bring back the damn gameplay.There are far to many rails and I'm not liking the trend at all.You guys are spot on though good video.

I finally quit buying both these games MH and BF because it felt more and more like i was watching a movie. Playing a game that has you boxed in all the time and on rails just finally got old. I want more game play, less cut scenes,open environments and i wanna do it my way not forced down a corridor. I know you gotta put boundries some where but EA forces you into these tight kill zones that feel like your fighting in a shoe box.  Remember the original Far Cry ? You had more than one way to solve a problem, many ways to approach a kill zone, and the Ai did not just spawn in on you from an area you already cleared. Guess i want a lot huh ? The shooter fatigue video was right on. Still i know they are good games but i  feel EA can do better, they have been doing the same thing for too long. Rails are for trains.

As for console players, what did u expect the game to be like on a console? Both Xbox and PS3 are dated systems, PC's get updated everyday. I'd blame myself for having a bad game experience when not buying a PC for the game.

The big maps are aimed for the 64 PC servers :) About time Dice started getting back to its roots.

They need to redo some of the old WW2 games. Up date them. Like panzer General or Silent hunter the best Sub game ever made. The last sub game they came out with was a piece of crap. All this achievment stuff and if you didn't get the five stars you just got stuck playing the same part over Borrrrring.

Ubie Soft needs to re do some pf their old games for counsels.

someone please respond to me on here, how many maps you see on the trailer? the desert, the snow, and the forest? 3 maps?

too bad you have to have this on PC to get those kind of graphics and textures.. otherwise console is all washed up and buggy! BF3.....huge let down....

the original game has 9 maps, each one is equivalent to 5 call of duty maps, equivalent in size, number of diferent ambients, gameplay possibilities/strategies etc

so if this is a rip off i dont know what is a good deal, may be a good deal is the 5 crappy games (exept for the 2 hour long portal1)  in the orange box pack

What I love the most about this trailer is the "Battlefield 4 Beta" text at the end.  WTF???  This game has only recently come out and there is still a crap load of dlc they are releasing and they are already talking about the next fraking game?!?!?  EA, quantity over quality isn't the way to go.  This isn't a crappy sports game where you have to release a new one every year.

Looks cool, I wont be getting armored kill cause I dont play much vehicle warfare.  I just use the bare minimum to complete the assignments for what i do need to use.  I usually just play tdm because I prefer man on man action as it pits skill against skill.  vehicles are fun but it becomes boring when you have a noob just roaming the map with tanks and 1 ko players, especially when they are high level players and it would take several tank busters, other tanks or flyers to kill.  I like playing bf3 over COD, but im an old school COD MW1 player and prefer the smaller maps, am def getting MOH warfighter!

Love Battlefield, since its humble beginnings to now. Can't wait for this DLC :)

the most easy one shot one kill is by explosions in artilary or armored stuff.

This looks awesome, the battlefield we all know and love. I have it on 360 and don't really mind the 12 v 12 issue but with so few players in a massive environtment you know its going to devolve into a sniping fest (like gulf of ohma on those rediculous 500% ticket matches) with one dude in a tank/jet wondering where the partys at.

To all those dispointed about the AC130 being on autopilot I ask, why? It means you won't have some noob pilot ploughing the thing into the side of the mountain every time you get a seat.
