He showed x360/ps3- this 'does' come on Pc, not going to even pop one screen up of that one at the end? *tsk tsk* - but I can't pretend I'm surprised. Would also be nice to mention how driving games handle with PC wheels (many of which are compatible with Ps3 by the way). Not everyone uses controllers- especially for driving games.

Multiplayer's pretty cool, but I hated the Single Player. It's horrible! But again, I actually find the multiplayer really fun.

Nice and innovative game but seems empty and dry. Not going to buy.

And oh yeah....Beats Split/Second, Dirt 2, and all that crap put together. Only car racing game that offered that much rush was Midnight Club 3 & L.A.

Blur...That's one successful attempt at makin new age racers more interesting. Beats numerous other titles which focus on pro racing, not only in terms of fun, but also in driving physics. You'd be surprised how balanced the brake-handbrake ratio in the game is, and per car as well. Loads of fun, str8 to the point, and one of very few games where challenges are not posed as chores, but rather as highly motivating goals. Throw that in with all kinds of fireworks and you get Blur. I'd give it an 8.5 all the way.

THis game will rock your socks off on multiplayer, the only thing its missing is more people online so everyone buy this game. (note: there is no customization except for paint color)

@ertman420 What did that video prove? That Shift's Nurburgring is close to the real one? Im pretty sure every game has the real life tracks close to their actual counterparts

The title song is by The Crystal Method (the one that sounds like something you might hear in a Metroid game), so that means its gotta be good!! :-)

this game is not like any other racing game

24k_Solid_Gold

In my opinion this is the funnest racing game out there. It does not go for realism like other racers do, so if that is what you are looking for, then this game is not for you. However, if you are looking for an intense, super fun racing game, filled with constant action, then Blur is just for you.

@ Plus1Attack, I'm not sure what your comment is in reference to anymore. Blur is a great game so I gave it a score that matches. I'm not sure what else to say.

Plus1Attack
Plus1Attack

@TomMcShea okay bro, since i've gotten so much crap about my comment this is exactly why i would say something as ridiculous as a problem with the rating. A number system is set in place as a scale for people to notice quickly how good you think the game is. This is incredibly important for readers and although it isn't the same as reading the actual review, it makes it easy for people who don't really get the industry or perhaps read reviews in depth to get in short terms what you thought of the game. I'm not trying to tell you how to do your job just putting in my opinion and in all truth a slight difference in numbers in the higher scores are incredibly important to those who don't read the reviews in depth. I do but again, a large portion of people just check out the metacritic or just don't give a crap to read your review.

@ TheVGamer a publisher as lot to do with how well a game sells because the publisher decides the amount of MKT capital, and some publisher have a better track record of publishing certain genres of games than others. The way Disney markets their movies and games is through kid shows on ABC, Disney Channel, and etc... and they usually don't have short MKT campaigns like most publishers, that's why some of their games and movies end up selling so well over long stretches of time, unlike the usual 50% bulk of sales in the first month. They are a bit like Nintendo.

@PewPewNinja that's why games are made for all tastes actually, and if there's one thing we should agree upon,it would definately be that BURNOUT is an all time favourite to me 2.

PewPewNinja
PewPewNinja

@amroto did i put Burnout as #2 meh thats wrong sorry, burnout is my all time favorite...yeah well i was hoping more from Split/second (more like burnout old style) But glued cars didn't worked fine with me,and alots of others things didn't make it to me.Blur gave me that mario kart feel but with real cars and with the arcadish look of Geometry wars,to me it was a perfect mixe. And sorry the game doesn't feel like a beta, its just not what i wanted, and tbh i preferred Blur because of the Mutiplayer 20 cars race is alots of fun.

i'm getting this one, but for ps3, since i only want this game for the multiplayer and don't want to pay for xbl.

No reason to hate on this game for the lack of realism. It's about crazy fun and completely over-the-top action. Don't cry because it's not like Forza and NFS. And I don't care how big you think your schlong is, this game is a thorn in the arse on higher difficulty levels.

amroto
amroto

@PewPewNinja actually,i'm wondering how did u ever consider burnout as a second choice to blur, besides,i played all of the nfs series, but i just prefer the burnout and split second type, and about the boss,it's lame for me actually, and blur feels to me like i would have loved it when i was like 10 years old or something :D but anyway, games are made for all kinds of gamers, that's why some of us give high ratings, and some of us give low ones..but one thing we can be sure of,split second didn't look like a "freakin' beta demo to me".
