This time on Start/Select, we check out the new Xbox 360 Slim, put on our glasses for 3D gaming, and meet the developer of Hunted: The Demon's Forge. Plus, win Dance on Broadway!
@hellpolice Honestly, I don't want it. Maybe it sounds awesome, but I don't that nor motion technology on my xbox. Im happy as it is.
About 3d tv's I rather wait for the ones that don't need glasses to enhance the 3d effect. Yes! they do exist, but are too expensive to massproduce currently.
Good show but i think ill wait 4 years until i can buy a 3d tv.I think i wait for the xbox 720 release.
Two things... nasty scar on Janes arm. And has she got Asian heritage? Also, I think for existing Xbox 360 owners it's worthwhile getting this new one. Otherwise, it's down to the games you like most I guess.
Never watched Start / Select before. Did Guy look so pleased with himself before the living goddess Jane joined the show or is it just because he's sitting next to a near perfect woman? :D
Great show as ever guys and well done keeping a straight face on your best-ever giveaway (not the schwag bag, the other one)!
Hi, i would like to correct you guys about the 3D TV's. The 3D TV's ARE NOT expensive! The deal is that 3D tech is implemented in High-end models, if Samsung has 9 series of TV's 9000 Being the highest and 1000 being the lowest, then 3D is implemented in 7000, 8000 and 9000 series. even without the 3D the compatible series from last year cost same price. Now, for a regular gamer that plays his games in bedroom, getting a 3D tv is not expensive, a Samsung 3D TV 40C750 costs 800GBP. This is a 40 inch LCD TV (Not hiend LED model). So for 800GBP you can get a great 2010 model TV with 3D. Also Samsung?s 3D TV's can up convert 2D material to 3D, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn?t, but its free. Games like K2 look awesome . Also, you can buy an IZ3D driver for your PC and play about 300-350 PC games in FULL 3D using your new 3D TV, no need to get a special 3D PC Monitor.
Good show guy's, not woth buying into the whole 3d gimmick at the moment. Jane is very nice to look at.
On whether the new 360 is quieter, Reghardware say: "When powering up or at the dashboard the console is indeed whisper quiet, but run a game off a DVD and it?s as noisy as ever." Who should we believe I wonder? http://www.reghardware.com/2010/07/16/review_gaming_microsoft_xbox_360_250gb_console/page3.html
Well Jane, I don't have an Xbox360 because I have a PS3 and there are no Xbox exclusives that I have any desire to play ( at least not at the cost of a whole new console ) so that answers your question!! Overall another good show do keep them coming!
@ Chaos_Eagle on word online xbox is just much better plus i think the ps3 is more exspecive at £250(amazon) were as xbox is £200. also im a shooter fan so i feel the controler for xbox is better (alough i did buy street fighter and couldnt play) in the end there are diffrent and its down to your choice
i mean that in the endearing way. just so you know. Don't wanna cause the lady offense, shed probably be able to get the guys round to do my kneecaps in
jane douglas, you always look a little uncomfortable on camera while waiting to speak. I noticed it on inside, and also here. Oh and wheres bruce, probably for the movie, batman on the run and he would go missing wouldnt he.
Wow, Microsoft only just caught up. And are still behind. Most of these 'amazing new features' that they have, the original PS3s could do on launch 3-4 years ago. And they still have the external power supply. *sigh* The only thing I can really see better than the PS3 is the removable hard drive. I'm no fanboy, I just can't see why you'd get one of those over a PS3 Slim which are the same price, unless I'm mistaken.
that girl you can tell she prefers 360 over ps3 didnt she do a show on the xbox im not really sure "COFF" microsoft are cows
Wow grow up. People still are like Guy Cocker!! lol No... Also where is batmanbatmanbatman.com ;) Russian Martian Batman
yea true Maximus_fett but ps3's are getting many more features in software, with it being one of the first home consoles to support 3d that proves
I'll be honest I prefer Sony over Microsoft generally, but this looks really really "swissh", it's almost exactly like a PS3 now though... Also the kinect ready port looks very very useful. PlayStation really really needs to pull their fingers out and make an improved console, with lots of interesting new features. Tbh though I don't know what they could improve on their new console (the slim)... PM me if you have answers plz
