Check out this exclusive trailer for Dead or Alive 5 calling all fighters out to join the fifth DOA tournament.
About time they use good english voice actors for this game. I have a feeling that most of the characters will have some type of accent. The fireball move by Hayabusa is now one of the special moves players can do, like a more cinematic QTE that, changes the dynamic flow of the fight. I'm looking forward to being able to use the Ninja Moves as finishers and have the cinematic QTE moments that lead to high damage, adds more strategy. With a good dose of some slow-mo there is more time to show off the girls. The interactive elements in the levels are also more in-depth than ever before. I just hope that DOA5 will have a good selection of costumes to choose from at launch with tons more via DLC. I hope that TN can use DLC to help make this game one of the best in the series, if not the best to date. DLC for new levels, cosutmes, and characters (contrary to what TN said) would be great. I also think it could be fun to have a create a fighter like Soul Calibur and a character customizer like Tekken. Even without those last 2 features, this will still be an AWESOME FIGHT!!!
@pqwoei I like good english voices! and it sounds like. Dead or Alive 5 has them! finally!!! don't get me wrong. japanese voices are cool. but if I have the option to pick which one. I must likely pick english.
OH! so now everyone wants to speak english! Na idk this doesnt seem that exciting. Ill still play it tho
At first when I heard Zack speak english I was excited - maybe every character would speak their native language now (plus Helena speaking english with accent could be understandable), but then Lei Fang spoke english.
Otherwise not much special. But can Ryu shoot Hadoukens now? If so he is immediately banned from my game. He was bad in DOA3 with all his teleporters but now it just gets more ridicilous.
@PrpleTrtleBuBum He can, but they're limited to, as pqwoei has stated, a part of his power blow move, meaning they are only part of a predetermined 'Super Move', and can only be used when his health is down to 50% or less. Not to mentioned aforementioned power blow has an incredibly risky launch time, during which any smart player will be able to predict and react accordingly (block, counter, sidestep, etc.)
@PrpleTrtleBuBum He can shoot hadoukens aka Ninpos after his power blow move
@pqwoei Very sad. I don't get it why they must drag his NG powers into this. They could just as well allow us to wield swords and scythes and use level 3 Piercing Voids
o_O Im guessing that rap was right after dubstep on the list of "background music for promoting video game trailers"....And those dubbed voices!!!! O_O
Hell yeah, I've waited seven years for this game, not only is it my favorite fighter, but hands down one of my favorite game series!! (I sure hope they didn't screw it up though). Can't wait for Sept. 25.
Honestly, the people are bitching way to much. They lost a pretty important guy in their developement process and still, they gave their all to bring us a solid fighter. It has a good amount of gameplay modes and a story by the looks of it too. So it will still be better the the empty Soul Calibur V.
Without Tomonobu Itagaki this game will be a poor shell of its former self with absolutely no soul and 100% cop-out.
@Avison Go write that in the "Devils Third getting drop by THQ" comment section. See I can troll too. The guy is irrelevant at this point. Just like Seth is no longer tied to SF.
I really pray they didnt screw this up like they did NG3. This and TTT2 makes sep a good month for fighting fans. At least fans of 3d fighters.
I am convinced that people at Gamespot are blind idiots. Seriously, you morons can't see the graphical change from the animu style of the previous games to now with the fifth entry? Jesus.
@RyugGomba Totally agree. These people were blinded by PC graphics that were used to show off console games at E3. LOL so don't be surprise how many more idiots claim no improvements.
@ExplicitMike I play DOA4 before, and in even in a SD video i can spot the graphical difference. The graphics very much on PAR with Tekken Tag Tournament 2.
However the graphics is still not upto Soul Calibur 5 quality.
@y3ivan Dead or Alive 5 looks alot better than Dead or Alive 4. Heck! it looks alittle better than TEKKEN TAG 2.....from what I can tell. from the youtube videos!
ooh by the way, i m presuming that Team Ninja might have the experience in working on DOA4 on x360. And DOA5 graphics might be slightly improved on the x360 like most fighting games. MK, SC4,SC5, Capcom MTframework looked better on the x360 than on the ps3.
@ExplicitMikei known DOA2 on arcade machines and i skipped the ps2 version. The graphics for the arcade machines looked better somehow.
DOA2 started with the counter system which at that time is radically new and unique. Its a shame noone actually like it at least in my country.
@ExplicitMike nah that's cool its good to know, me personally i used to travel to popular seaside destinations to play in arcades (Britain) only having a limited one where i was. Famicom was basically the Nintendo 8 bit yeah ?? then i think they had a super famicom ?? Iv enjoyed DOA through the years and have probably stated the DC version was awesome.
@itchyflop I am sure it was in arcades. before anything. I was mainly addressing consoles. I didn't grow up in the USA. In South America my first system was a Family computer. (Famicom) I didn't even know what arcades were. By the time I played in arcades they were already dying. I live by the pad and I will died by the pad. Sorry for my life story
@ExplicitMike use the dpad on any fighting game. DOA did hit the arcades at some point yeah ??
@y3ivan Yeah since 4 but DOA started on a Playstation. Go with the better D-pad trust me. I can't use an arcade stick if my life depended on it. The 360 controller is horrible for fighters. I used an adapter to play DOA4. I had to buy a freaking Adapter. That's how bad it is.
@ExplicitMike and about the graphics i m uncertain which platform should i get. PS3 has a better d-pad and x360 has been team ninja's design platform since DOA4
@y3ivan Agreed Soul Calibur 5 graphics are beastly.
