I'm don't really understand how people say this game is standing still and tekken is moving forward. How is Tekken moving forward? 6 was a disaster.

You take one look at this metallic stage with little props and say the game looks bland. You take a look at the fighters and say all fighters look and fight the same as ever, even though they are in fact ..the same fighters. Yea like as if Tekken doesn't rehash moves.

The developers however state they focussed on improving and adding attacks, cleaning up and improving on character motions and models, making the stages a lot more detailed and involving and attempting to make everything more cinematic. I would strongly suggest trusting their efforts over your quick assumptions based on a few pre-release vids.

eh DOA5 is looking old it looks about as good as DOA4 but that was from what 2004 or 2005?

@BillyColeman I love that you are still hung up on this. Let me give you evidence of improvements. One their faces look completely different from DOA4. Two character models and Backgrounds have been improved a lot. Hell even the Virtua fighter characters added never look this good. Are you expecting unreal 4? On a fighting game that's on a 6-7 year console? What is clear tho is that you don't like this game to begin with. As a former SS rank I can tell you I'll be playing it a lot. Just like DOA4.

@ExplicitMike well in terms of scope there is a lot less on the screen, so fighting games should be the benchmark of visual performance...not FPS or racing games. you maybe a fan but don't blame hardware for lack of development ...

i remember when fighting games where the best looking games on consoles...

Way to insult the guy. A spiderman reference. *Sign* He just has a different opinion. What new stuff are you talking about. DOA is always been about as bare bones as possible. The only major additions were technical ones. I play DOAU last week. I don't see your point. Tekken will always be my favorite, but you are really hung up on a game you don't care about.

@HarryOsborn @endorbr Game developers need to realize the fact that they are developing these games for the gamer's generation. We grew up playing these games and we expect games and game developers to grow up along with us. This is 2012, not 1992. I can pick up my Play station 1 or 2 and play thy the same game, and beside some better graphics there would be nothing new. Why should I pay a premium of $60 to get this new version. I would like to see much more realistic physics here, the set looks boring, even the graphics look so so, and like endorbr said, I don't see the appeal.
