Dead Space 2 Outbreak Mode Multiplayer Trailer (Xbox 360)

Well i think its pretty cool that Dead Space 2 has multiplayer along with the story mode. Alot of my friends thought it would be coop or something like alot of games nowadays. But a good single player game doesnt exactly mean they cant make a decent multiplayer. Like Assassin's Creed Brother MP, Uncharted 2 MP, and BioShock 2 MP were pretty good.

@wedran123 first of all relax dude i mean seriosly and second that isnt a bad thing i mean L4D was great if it was in space it was probably even cooler and dead space 2 looks awsome so lets not get personal ok?

this always brings the debate if all games should have a multiplayer. Unless its main core is that of multiplayer, it more than satisfies the player. But if started as a single player it should stay as such. (I always wanted to play as a neromorph, though. I am some what pleased though.)

Unfortunately, I read the IGN Review, and they said the Multiplayer didn't quite live up to its potential. No matter, this game looks fantastic and I still want to get it. (Multiplayer isn't too important to me.)

This is probably the biggest waste of resources I've ever seen. Of course old f*cking women are gonna hate if they don't know jack sh*t about horror games. They should've taken the money it took to make this cr*p and used it to improve the game. Also - Who the h*ll bases their choice of game on what their mum thinks and likes??

Dead Space 2 is rubbish..

maybe some of the core designs here are a direct influence from L4D but i think people are forgetting the most important difference between this and left for dead.... its a 3rd person shooter, not a first. Even if you cloned L4D and changed only the 1st person aspect that alone would make it a every different experience. Its like saying Gears is a clone of Halo. But those who are players of both know its an entirely different experience.

Their not going to show the necromorphs getting destroyed in the preview about them

Their not going to show you the necromorphs getting beat if they are previewing what they can do.

This, ME3, Batman AC, GOW3 .... 2011 will be a gaming heaven...

Mint, once im through the single player im going to have to stem the outbreak with the help of my brother!

I think it will be a bit too easy for the necromorphs, just like in Left 4 Dead with the infected.

Looking forward to the singleplayer campaign and now the multiplayer.

@Jamie_Raab - I can respect that as it is a very nice quality in single player. I wonder if multi pulled time away from single player development. That would suck. If it didnt, Im curious to see how multi will play out with fans

Creating a multiplayer Mode for a game is a good idea BUT some games should be left as such .Sometimes a multiplayer mode for a specific game does not make any sense.With that being said,it seems that the M.P of dead space 2 is attractive but it may be short lived as well.One should give M.P a try as its an addition to part 2 and also to get a different M.P taste.

Reminds me of Left 4 Dead(especially the Spitter(L4D2) and the Puker), I have a desire to call this Dead 4 Dead, get it? Nevertheless, this will be something original.

Mmmm... I really think this trend of making "everything" multiplayer ruins the games sometimes. And for me the Dead Space experience is about the terror and feeling constanty watched and vulnberable. Adding the necros as players breaks the game entirely. It should only be co-operative mode.

Loved Dead Space and can't wait for this to come out. I can't help but compare the multiplayer to Aliens vs. Predator that came out last year. I hope it's done better, execution moves like that look awesome but could ruin the online gameplay (which is just a bonus anyhow).

@Boochie I like to say "influenced" or even "borrowed" which I wouldn't say is a bad thing.. In fact I'd wish they'd taken more from L4D and had more diverse roles and abilities and gameplay.

I really wished that this game would have been single player only-- not into the MP by the looks if it.

@Boochie Your point being?; every game's ripped another off. Every fps out there has ripped off Wolfenstein, Doom, Quake and Goldeneye. Without "ripping" eachother off genres wouldn't advance and improve.

Sooo.... baby=jockey, Spitter=Spitter, Puker=Boomer, and.... Puker I guess also = smoker..... DS2 multiplayer is such a ripoff on L4D2.... Maybe it will be good, but honestly I'm mainly just looking forward to the single player game.

This looks like it can be fun, even though im getting this game for the single player, the multiplayer looks like its something to do when you dont wanna play the story.

Ah, might give the multiplayer mode a go or something, i was hoping for the classic necromorphs.. Still hyped for the single player though!

No matter what way you slice it, this game is going to be amazing. I'm in this for the single player campaign that will make me crap myself, literally, so MP is just gravy.

dead space would have suited co-operative multiplayer better, for example a hoard mode, where you and 3 other team mates go up against waves of increasingly difficult necromorphs possibly with sub objectives, like maintaning life support on the map or something.

Single player is for me!.

I'm still only for the singleplayer portion of it.

@ThAdEa82 - The thing is though, that multiplayer suits certain genres of games, like racers, for example. But seeing as Dead Space is a survival horror and is all about the isolation and eerie lonliness of an individual, the frantic style of the multiplayer mode completely throws that out the window and is just about killing tons of enemies....
