Def Jam Vendetta is Rap's attempt at making a fighting game. And it sorta passed.
In the game you can choose between four different characters to play. You cannot choose their names or anything just which one you want to play as. The story is, you just broke up with your ex and she is dating this man named D-Mob. Your friend Manny just broke his arm so you have to substitute for him in the ring. When you learn that your ex is with D-Mob, you get upset and you want to go after D-Mob. Along the way, you'll fight several different rapstars. Some you may know, and some you don't.
The gameplay is good. It is fun for the first couple minutes but the lack of any bonus features really makes the game not as good as it sounds. When you win in a fight, you can upgrade your characters attributes and that's pretty much it. Nothing else. When you beat the game you can play some 2 player, start another file with another character, or play some single player matches. Really, you rent it first. And if you decide you and your friends like it, buy it and invite them over to play some two player. The game is fun for like the first couple of minutes but after that you should find something else to play.
