Im thinking of making a javazon, had one a while ago but its been like 10 months, hows this sound for a build
Helm 3 pruby helm
Armor twitch
Shield eyeless (rare grim if I can find a mana after kill rare ring)
Boots Rares, looking for resists/ r/w
Gloves Hmm, not sure, bloodfists I think I used to use? Maybe frosties.
Ring Dual leech if I can find, manald if I cant
Ring Dunno, maybe a nagelring just for the hell of it
Amulet +2 zon rare (hopefully ^^)
Belt Probably a rare life stats one, if I can find one.
For skills, im thinking maybe 3-5 in my dodge type passives, and spend the rest pumping up charged strike/lfury and their sysnergies? Hmm, might drop 5-10 into pierce, not sure if I want to go all out charged strike or maybe focus on fury.

synergies for the lightening skills all suck. They add horrible damage, so just go for whatever you want skill wise. All the skills have their stats, most people go with chain lightening (forgot which one, too lazy to look up) and then maybe 1 or two syergies... Throw 5 into D/A/E. 0 into pierce 1-5 into penetrate (if you think you need more AR) I'd strongly reccomend a Valk, I always loved mine... consider using Hand of Broc as a glove (3% duel leech). Eyeless is a solid shield, although a prismatic rare works just as well. Hmmm, if bluboy sees this he can add more imput. I know his zon was quite good.

Chief, you idiot! Pierce is probably the most useful passive a furyzon can have! XD
Apr 1, 2005 7:37 pm GMT
my classic javazon? good? hahahahahahahahaha
uhh i dont even remember what i wear. i think i switch between a 30/20/17 and a 3 sock pdiamond large shield.
rings i suggest using a angelic combo and a manald, but then again i might be an idiot...
get some frw tri res boots
twitch all the way
for the helm i use htusk but i suppose a 3 pruby would work
use the deaths sash and glove combo
hope this helped

do you plan on throwing javs all the time or striking as well? if you're pure throw i suggest around 3-5 pierce and 1-5 penetrate, 20 in valk, 20 in fury and 5 in each D/A/E
if you're planning on striking as well i suggest at least 3 in penetrate, and 20 in lightning stirke/cb strike, whichever you find most effective

I was just taking a stab at it. I've never played one, and it seemed like he was stabbing... i dunno. Bleh.

I was thinking of actually making the most of charged strike, but I doubt it would do well with classics selection of items >_>
Probably just go LF like every other javazon, forgot about hands of brock, nice call! Just seems like mana after kill did me more good, seeing as classic javlins do like 30 damage tops >_<
Oh, far as valks go, if you want to get a good valk, id recommend maxing decoy instead, and dropping 1 point in valk. To be honest decoy > valk, and every point you put into decoy gives your valk just as much life as putting a point in valk itself.

Nightmare Halbu will occasionally stock Harpoons, as well.
Actually, Nightmare Asheara and Hratli could, too. Except they're complete jerks who do not stock any sort of javelin type weaponry at all.

cold sorcs usually go with either blizzard or frozen orb. Blizzard sorcs max blizzard, synergies, ~10-20 into cold mastery for a super high powered blizzard, which is most effective for mf-ing. Or go frozen orb, in which you max forb, ~10-20 into cold mastery (closer to 20 is waht i prefer, gaijin might think diifferently, i can't remember) then probablly throw 20 into fireball and 20 into fire mastery, so you can kill both elements. If somethings immune to both... good luck.
Apr 3, 2005 2:38 pm GMT
Fireball + Fire Mastery SUCK BALLS!! DO NOT BOTHER!!
Fireball + Fire Bolt is better, but still sucks.
Fireball + Fire Bolt + Fire Mastery Mastery is very nice, but only available for dual tree sorcs in LoD, due to the relative ease with which you can gain higher levels late in the game.
Chief, we have had this conversation already. I guess it was a while ago, and you don't recall? Oh, well.

"If somethings immune to both... good luck."
I do believe the countess is always immune to both Fire and Cold in Hell Difficulty. Not sure about any other bosses... They're probably random uniques if they are, in which case it's not so hard to simply park them somewhere out of the way.

I know I'm late and all, but someone said something about uniques crystal swords. I remember a couple of years ago I used to rip through cowz with zeal and a "Lightsabre Phaseblade". It was a uni crystal sword, with the best one hand damage and leech I ever had. It also took alot more dex than str to use. Does it still exist, or did it get wiped out with the patches somewhere down the line? If so, is it hard to come by in trading?
Apr 3, 2005 5:16 pm GMT
lightsaber is LoD
and gaijin I was just commenting that frozen orb only takes 30 skill points to be effective. with the other 70 he can put into fireball, fire mastery, fire bolt, more into cold skills, whatever he finds to be effective. He can very easily have a solid duel tree sorc in classic.

O_o
Is it me or is gajin talking to himself...
Personally I wouldnt even bother with a dual element sorc, id rather have a sorc that did 1 thing really well than one that kinda does 2 thinks okish. You have teleport for a reason ^^

Chief uses my account to post here, too.

I prefer dual tree sorcs because I used to play solo an awful lot back when I did play at all. I liked being able to kill almost everything. And because I play so slow and cautiously anyway, it never bothered me that I was sacrificing killing speed and high damage for the ability to deal with more situations.
Take any single tree sorc into Hell difficulty, and see how far you can get with just one main skill and teleport. Hahaha, talk about frustration because you're getting nowhere fast and hardly gaining levels!

Note to REAL gaijin.
I made a dual tree sorc and she was stopped in act 1 by the pita known as Countess. In hell shes always fire and cold immune...
