So really if you have say the mobile authenticator which I do but they got your password. They can then just log onto battle.net to your account settings and remove the authenticator? I know a bot wouldn't be programmed to do that but a person could. Right?

No. It will request your authenticator code when you access the account manager page.

And this is why I keep the same password for my secure stuff and a crappy password I don't care about for sites like GFAQS lol.

Seriously... what's the WORST thing they can do to my gfaqs account? Get it banned? Delete it? Might be annoying but ultimately isn't the money in my bank

    Correct.

The point is you get hacked when all your passwords are the same because forums are really easy to hack and steal stuff from.

My passwords are all different thus I will not be hacked... Yaaaaw?

No one else is going to ask?

What the hell is this "Yaaaaaw" crap about?

No way you get phished, it's honestly easier to hack a forum than it is to get away with a phishing program that will even bring you any results...

It's way easier to go into the forums information than it is to get a phish past modern browsers and security...

See that's the whole part of the hackers people are freaking out about, they literally took everything off the internet; your computer files and decisions other than passwords have no effect on the outcome.

    @JeffLam
so you are saying there is no way to disable it if you don't have it with you? Oh wait you can prob type in the restore code and serial number to disable it.I have those written down. I always do have my phone with me I am just wondering what if I don't.

I believe it requires contacting support, and isn't automated in that fashion.

I have no reason to believe their user database would be particularly secure, especially since there's nothing important on our accounts.

My buddy complains he always forgets his bnet password cause it's different than what he usually uses.

Changes his password yesterday, instant hacked.

They steal your passwords from sites like gamefaqs and message boards, and if you're stupid enough to have the same password for everything, that's how you got hacked.

No bnet error. No super 1337 hacking skills. No "session spoofing" (rofl).

Simple user error same password idiocy.

They got it off the Diablo fan sites that store pw as plain text
LFCM for a CRPG union. PM me if interested.
