Fallout 3 Review Updates

  • On 5/5/2009, Fallout 3's third $10 add-on, Broken Steel, was released in a broken state; a fixed version was released several days later. In this pack, you join the Brotherhood of Steel to rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave. It also allows you to return to the game after completing the main quest, and raises the level cap to 30.
  • Fallout 3's second $10 downloadable add-on, The Pitt, was released on 3/24/2009. In The Pitt, you take on the role of a slave in order to investigate rumors that the Raider boss of The Pitt has discovered a cure for mutations. It's about 4-5 hours long.
  • The $10 Operation Anchorage add-on is good, but it doesn't cater to Fallout 3's strengths. For more details on Fallout 3's first DLC, see our impressions here.
  • Patch 1.1 fixed a variety of bugs and glitches for all platforms. Read here for a full list of improvements.
