Was VERY happy to see that they brought back the binocular enemy tagging option. I loved using that in the original Farcry game.
Lookin' pretty darn good! Can't wait till 12/4.....................I just hope the check point gards don't respawn every 10 mins! LOL!

1 Like @Zonno I'm staying away from all games on release now, waiting for critical reviews before buying because of how they spend more on marketing and gimmicky crap than real immersion and deep game mechanics, not just pre rendered lock-on knife attacks.
after all those knife kills,not a drop of blood on his hands when he uses the Lap-top ..not nitpicking It looked so good I thought I was watching a movie.
this game is going to be so good...

Now that's a gameplay vid. The only thing I don't like are the glowing boxes. Not necessary, I can search boxes/crates/barrels without a visual aid.

1 Like That has to be the most spectacular gameplay I have ever seen! It is foolish and downright wrong to compare this to Far Cry 2. This game looks amazingly immersive.
2 Like It looks too much like Far Cry 2 gameplay wice. Glowing objects, object icons in the world and on the map. We don't need these hints, we can think and see for ourself. God when are the developers gonna stop destroying immersion with these shitty things?
2 Like @whakyZ86 Too much hand held information. I like to discover things myself. Maybe just get a map of the island and have to discover where things are, and then being able to write on the map myself on key locations. I really hate HUD on the screen, so hope you can turn this off in the option menu
1 Like This video tries so hard to show us 5 year old gaming tech. Animations and elements ripped right from Far Cry 2.8:40 nice omnipotent use of the computer there.
1 Like @PinchySkree Agree. Also way too much HUD shit and glowing objects. I mean, you really don't have to look "out the window" finding out where to go. Just look at your mini map or hud and you get there.
Takes away the exploring and immersion
@flesh19no @PinchySkree The HUD was alright,less flashy as compared to Crysis.But you are right about the glowing objects.
@flesh19no Yes the cringe worthy glowing boxes from Far Cry 2 aswell, crappy ammo system where you just grab chunks that auto fill clips. This kind of lead-by-the-nose crap should have an option for an alternative or to be turned off for anyone who isn't a console generation moron.
This looks F&N awesome!! Pre-Ordered and can't wait. Not sure what to do first map edit or do the single player or just jump into multiplayer. Oh yeah there is a 4 player co-op as well "bonus".

1 Like @mjumper99 Doesn't look like it. Even though it could have been but they were using an xbox controller, it didn't look crisp enough to be on a pc. Plus who would play a first person shooter with a controller on PC ha ha?
1 Like @sknight175216 @mjumper99 Actually some PC ports are so horrible, that actually using the 360 controller on the pc is better than mouse and keyboard. Hope this is not the case with FC3
@flesh19no @mjumper99 True, true. One thing I really, really hate with a passion is mouse acceleration. It's the worse.
@flesh19no @sknight175216 I agree with both of you. I'm really hoping it is being optimized for PC. Since the "optimal" specs are a GTX 680 according to systemrequirementslab.com it sounds very promising. I hope my GTX 660 TI will be able to handle it at max settings.
