Cable Comparison

We broke out a separate section for more component-versus-composite cable-comparison shots since we wanted to show how the image-quality difference affects different games. High-detail games like Twilight Princess will get the most benefit from component cables, but you can get away with using composite cables in games with more simple graphics. Mouse over the default composite cable image to see the component cable version.

It might be difficult to get a hold of component cables right now since they're only available online, but they're well worth the investment. The Wii is the only next-generation console that doesn't support HD resolutions, so every little bit helps.

    The only real problem I have with the PS3 is the fact the launch titles were not very impressive. It's not a bad system and has a lot of potential. It proudly shares space on my entertainment center with my Nintendo Wii and my X-Box 360. As for the Wii, Twilight Princess is more than worth the system purchase and with Corruption and Brawl coming in 2007 it is a system worth taking seriously. None of the big three systems are perfect nor should they be.

    LOLOLOL PS3 COPY THE WII HAHAHHAAHA!!!! For the record LOGITECH originally had a motion sensor controller back in the late 90s so get your facts right before you start saying some one copied. and i bet they came out with the idea roughly the same time cause its not like ps3 saw that the Wii had motion sensing cause it takes a long time to get a controller through development.

    dude WTF you add a game and a second controller in only the PS3 price wtf it makes it look more expensive and funny thing is its only $900CND for a game and a controller meaning its like $850 American. I like the Wii alot but nintendo makes you buy a wiimote and the nunchuck seperat and 40 bucks a piece $80 for a controller is getting up there. why didnt you add the price of a game and a controller to the Wii and 360 huh is it because your trying to take down the PS3. You can like any system you want Wii, 360, or Ps3 but what you like stay with it. I like PS3 i wont discuss about how the 360 sucks because it is only my opinion because i like sony. The 360 is a great machine but i think the PS3 is awsome.

    dang, you guys should should check out the 360 vs. PS3 debate goin on in the comments section, that is when the game world has gone wrong.. Over 223 pages of pissed off gamers. lol

    Wii all the way. The Xbox 360 comes next because Gears of War kicks ass. The PS3 does not suck in my opinion but it has not impressed me enough so that I would throw down $600 for it.

    Wii - $300 of different, family oriented, simple gaming

    360 - $500 of HD quality, adult oriented game play

    PS3 - $1000 (after you buy a game and a second controller) beta machine. Great graphics but over priced with absolutely no interesting launch titles (at least they are easy to find though LOL)

    I have try the Wii at my cousin's house at Christmas and I have try redsteel and Wii sports and let me tell you thats is a different gameplay and thats not so bad it was very funny with the *katana*^^

    I'm no fanboy, but I think Nintendo made a smart move. Generally, people are going to buy either an Xbox 360 or a PS3. One or the other. But, with their purchase, they will almost definitely get a Wii since it's so different. So, it's either Xbox 360 and a Wii, or PS3 and a Wii, making Nintendo get a lot of sales whether or not the consumer wants an Xbox or a Playstation. I'm sure it's cheap price helps also.

    I'm amassed at the Wii it's $250 and comes with a free game and its better than the PS3 and the PS3 is worth $600. Come on the Wii is better and cheaper

    man i have to say the wii is way better than i expected, i have 360 and wii right now im lookin forward to getting the ps3 but so far by the looks of it its not so interesting not so many games resistance sux ass they are just trying to be another halo, and zelda is a ps3 ass kicker and gears of war is right before halo jes cant wait for halo3 im definitly gonna be in that beta test. but back on point WII KICKS ASS! PEACE !~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~

    I think Nintendo got it this time. Gamers want to play and have fun. What´s the point in a game system reading Blu-Ray or whatever. It´s a game console, it´s supose to be simple. Press the On button and let me play. For the price of a PS3 I can build a PC that does a lot more things with cheaper games.

    All you guys, stop arguing about Xbox and PS3, besides, at the E3, they al said Wii,Wii,Wii,Wii, and Wii, and 200000 times, Wii... Nintendo just hit the casual by its sensor bar and the Wii mote, just the most best idea for revolution of gaming ever.

    I have a Wii, and im very happy with it. I can say that i might buy an Xbox 360 when the price drops. Its too bad i don't have a EDTV or HDTV cus them 480p component signals look SEXY!

    the wii and ps3 cant really be compared... two totally different systems. wii kinda focuses on all different people being able to play a game even though they might not be a gamer (am i right?) and i'm not really feeling the ps3 as that great a console. i've played resistance: fall of man for like an hour? wasnt as great as i thought it might've been, really. and, just before christmas, one of my friends was over at best buy lookin for wiimotes and saw a whole pile of ps3's with a security guard watching them. he said they've been there for a couple hours. iono but if you go to every store, its practically impossible to get a wii w/o standing in some sort of crazy line. and btw, microspot sounds funny.

    ok and now back to sticking up for the ps3 please leave leave the ps3 alone hay like the wii is good theres no doubt about that but hay ps3 i still pretty good like its the most powerfull and it runs on blue ray and you can plazy online. andf ps3 did not copy wii they were proberly doing that before wii even told every one about that idea but hay the wii i do like so sorry again for my second post cos its so long but you can loagh at me complaine about how i got reported when that other guy called us all suckers no ones reported him for disruptive posting.

    the ps3 copyed of the wii because the wii first had the motion senor and then the ps3 add it to it and now they copyed the wii again because the ps3 can download old games like the wii.

    I am living in Japan and I was going to buy a Wii but I didn't know that no games were included! I think everywhere except Japan gets the Wii Sports bundled with the system! So I had to think about an extra 4800 yen which is about 40 bucks. So the total would be around 300 big ones to start! I am not sure if I want to take the plunge!

    The PS2 doesnt look better than the Wii. The Gamecube games looks better than the PS2. PS2 has great games, but has the worst graphics and sound than the Gamecube and Xbox. The Wii is awesome. PS3 hasnt impressed me yet. Of course, its not up to its full potential yet, but, still not impressed with it. It was rushed out. Ill give it time. But, 360 and Wii ROCK!
