i have a dell dimension 4700 with an ati radeon card (dont know what model) and a single-core pentium 4 processer and i can run it at mostly high, with as good a framerate as it would be with the lowest settings if my 6 year old computer can run it that good, then i dont see why some peoples are running so bad
i play full very high settings at 1280 X 960 res and get 25-31 fps i'm gonna overclock ram and cpu when i get the chance so i can fkn own this game
i swear i laugh at anyone going at this game with anyhting less than ati 4800 series or nvidia g200 series and rejoicing and showing off that they can just barely play it, i mean yes you can play at medium settings but the experience is just so different when settings are maxed out. i say max out crysis or play something else like call of duty
Hi i just upgraded my pc to intel quad core q6600 2.4ghz, 2 gb corsair DDR2 RAM, nvidia geforce 8800GS 348mb, asus p5n-e SLI mobo. Can someone please tell me how it will run because i dont want to buy it until i know. my os is vista 32-bit.
I have a ATI HD 2600 Pro, and in order to play with "OK" frame rate i have to go 1280x1024. (on medium). But i put physics on very high, im a Half Life fan
Ok I have an 8800 GT, which should be 512MB, correct? Well, after performing a dxdiag run, it says my video ram is a whopping 2.2gb.
I don't understand how this works. At system requirments lab, the recommended video card is the 8800GTS 640MB. But again, it says mine is better, and the bar is maxed out.
Besides, my actual performance on Crysis isn't amazing or anything. I still seem to have less than smooth frame rate on medium with not that amazing resolution.
What's up with that? o.O
Oh yeah and i got 4gigs of ram and a quad core amd, so the CPU part seems to be sufficient enough.
_ramtin1001 you could run crysis with those specs. I might suggest changing you're RAM timings. I don't know how much cooling you got in your system, but that might help. Mine are at 4-4-4-15, but my motherboard did it for me and I OC'd my q6600 to 3.2GHz. I get 43 FPS with those settings and a GX2 on high..to me it's not high enough.
never mind i used crysis demo to try it myself. with everything on medium its ......."ok" with around 20-25 fps most of the times and with shader quality on high its jus not playable even if run it on dx9.... guess im out of luck... (
hey everyone i jus wanted to know if i can run it with shader quality on high and everything else on medium.... this is my system: inter core 2 duo 2.2GHz 3 GB RAM Radeon HD 2600 xt thnx.....
Hey guys, what do you think, with what settings can i run crysis? My specs: cpu: p4 3.0 Ghz 1mb cache gpu: ati 2600xt 256mb agp 8x ram: 2GB (4x512 ddr 400Mhz) Thanks in advance
Jose, you can run crysis on high because you have a high end video card from ATI I believe. But with your processor, I dont think you are getting great framerates though....
I have a Intel Core 2 CPU 6700 2.67Ghz GeForce 8800 GTX 768, 4GB RAM 800 Mhz and Windows XP Professional SP2 with AGEIA PhysX 100 Series PCI Card and Western Diigital 300Gb HD so my Crysis floats great on High but why cant i get to run it on Highest does anybody know why? maybe i should get an extra 8800GTS card in Dual mode to make the game possible to run in Ultra High mode.
How come i can run crysis on high ??? When i have these in my machine PLEASE CONTACT ME WITH ANWSER!!! Amd athlon dual x2 + 3800 1.9 ghz cpu ATi Hd 3850 gpu 1022 mb of ram how come ??? :S:S:S thanks for ya time
Does anyone agree with me here. Crysis has indeed the best most realistic graphics I have ever seen. It is miles ahead of the current top runners. I personally think it is over rated when it comes to gameplay. The gameplay is good but when I think of the game on a whole I don't think the graphics can make up for average gameplay.
For example, Call of Duty 4 has insane cinematics. This doesn't take away from the fabulous gameplay and re playability.
It will be a while for a system to get under 1500 that will run this game, especially at the highest settings. Probably at least a year, new intel chips have hit, there are quad and dual core in the 45nm variety, video cards are always the easiest thing to upgrade, just wait till the new ones come out and buy the last generation ones, they are always good and you get them for a steal once the new ones come out. No, this game will sadly never be released to the PS3 or Xbox. They confirmed that they would no longer release any sequals on PC, so the sequal will most likely be a PS3 exclusive, because of the demand of the size of disc that this game would take. Blu-Ray discs could hold this game, where it would take like 6 DVD's of the 360 to hold it. Most likely on PS3 if it ever makes it to consoles
So how long should I wait to get a new computer that will run this above 60fps without dual vid cards or overclocking? Maybe 18 months? Ok to be more specific, a rig that cost less than $1500 and can still run it over 60fps at the highest level. 24 months you think? Sheesh, that's a long time to wait to play a game lol. When are the new Intel chips coming out? What's the future plans for the big vid card companies? Is this going to come out on the PS3 or Xbox? If so I don't need a new computer. Can anyone inform me? Thanks.
hey guys ive had a bit of a change of heart. in other words i have to decide between 2 graphics cards. theres the geforce 9800 gx2 of i can get 3 way sli 9800 gtx. like anybody here i wud choose 9800 gtx but i live in the uk and i cant find it at pcworld. i can find it at amazon but thats too much. is it out yet in uk and if it is where can i find it. otherwise im going for gx2
Well, first of all, don't think the cutscenes in Crysis are like CG, they are real-time rendered. Or... whatever it's called, it's the same as the game itself anyways. As you might already know of course, I'm just saying...
But I've seen more people having trouble with lower performance in cutscenes on new computers. And I have an old crappy computer, and it performs the same in playing the game and cutscenes It's not like I have good performance, but at lowest settings I do get pretty consistent framerates of like 10 to 20. And then it's not like it suddenly drops drastically, like it would stutter or freeze in my case, at cutscenes. It just continues to do the same as it did with playing the game.
Sure, when more stuff has to be rendered, performance does drop, but that's either during gameplay or cutscenes. Even less with cutscenes actually, which is kinda logic since they are usually less action-heavy. Which makes all you guys with new(er) system unlogical...
intel e8400 dual core proccesor 2 gig or ram 8800GT 512mb vista
all runs fine on the demo until i reach the bit where theres the frozen boat, then i get like 10fps-, instead of my average 30ish fps, and i dont get why, its a cutscene too so how could it be any slower there..?
i have - (2 x 1gb) 2gb ram - amd athlon 64 X2 dual core processor 42000+ 2.20 Ghz - Nvidia geforce 7900 - winows xp and i works very smoothly on medium chopy on high though.
I have a laptop of toshiba satellite A200 series with a 2.0 Ghz Core 2 Duo Processor T5750, with 2GB of DDR2 Ram, Hard Disk of 400 GB capacity with a 512 MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 graphics card and i am wondering whether it will be able to play Crysis easily or i will have to think of something else.
this game runs better on my "work" computer: Core 2 Quad Q6600 Gainward 8800GT 1024MB 4GB RAM Vista 32bit
compared to my gaming rig: Core 2 Extreme QX6700 2 X 8800GTX 4GB RAM Vista 64bit
i think its because of the 64 bit operating system. i haven't found any solutions to this. the game can run on very high quality on the "work" comp, but can only run on high quality on the gaming rig.
I play on very high settings 1280x1024, Vista Home Pream 64, AMD 6400+, 4 gig ddr 800, ATI HD3870x2, When i play the game It takes about 20 sec of looking round before it comes smooth, I don't know why that is BUT after that it smooth FPS for the rest of the gaming session, I would recomend this setu up for crysis
i have tested this game on afriends computer that have xfx n 790i and intel 3.00 ghz q6600 . xfx * 2 * 9800 gx2 1gb . 2*corsair dominator 4 gb . hd wd raptor 80. the game was 60-70 frame on windows vista sp1 ultimate it was cool but expensive
getting a quad core for this game is a waste dont do it! Get an intel core 2 duo 8400, tests have shown it outperforms most quads in intense games like crysis by 10 or more framerates. As the great Logan 'search tiger direct on youtube the guy is a computer geek god' spend your money on a better graphics card first then a good processor if youre a gamer! Crysis is GPU reliant....not CPU, dont pay for an expensive quadcore (the decent ones are £250-300 plus get an 8400 and save up for a 8800gtx (dont get the 9800gx cos they are only just better than a 8800 gtx but cost a lot more)
currently im running crysis on most settings at high (apart sound, motion blur and object quality - medium) at 1028x720 with no aa on a 19" moniter with windows xp sp2, an AMD 3500 (single core lolololol), an 8800gts oc 320mb and 2gigs of ddr (400hz) ram and get frame rates of 30-40 even in combat with loads of koreans. Dont be fooled by the guys saying they cant play the game properly on high settings on their £2-3k systems..theyre probably playin on their 25"widescreens in which case they'll need a £10k system rofl. I will upgrade my pc in future but there's no reason to do so now, not even for crysis because it still looks amazing on my screen and runs well enough for me on med/high with the natural mod.
For whatever it's worth, I bought a Gateway FX7026 (2.5hgz quad core, 8800gt, 4gb ram, 64-bit vista, 640gb hd) and a 19" LG LCD monitor. This setup cost me $1400. The game even recommends to me that I play it on very high. It plays without any lag at all, though I have no fps numbers for you. This is a great budget system that should last you a while.
3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo this is an Imac with boot camp running vista 4GB memory could this run high settings???? 500GB hard drive1 8x double-layer SuperDrive NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS with 512MB memory
Hey I m thinking of buying xfx geforce 8600gt xxx edition And my spec. are p4 2.66 ghz 768 mb ram so will it run crysis in 800X600 medium setting ??? plz tell me???
and the 9800GTX gets exactly the same performance as the G92 8800gts. why? they are literally the same card. the only difference between the two is that the 9800gtx has a 65nm chip, so it'll run at a lower temp.
