If you like to tool around with the free Creature Creator and you just can't wait to get your hands on Will Wright's latest title, this is the place for you. We're going to be giving away a copy of Spore Galactic Edition and two regular Spore games and the winner could be you! Here's what you need to do to join in the fun:
1) Read, understand, and agree to the FAQ and Official Rules.
2) Make sure you've got a GameSpot account level 3 or above--you need to be level 3 to upload images, and you need to upload your images to GameSpot to enter.
3) If you haven't already, download the free trial version of the Spore Creature Creator. You must use the free trial version to enter!
4) Now comes the fun part--create! This is WEEK TWO of the challenge, so your mission is this:
Create your favorite real-world animal! From mammals to marsupials, avians to amphibians, choose the animal you find the cutest, smartest, or most awesome, and use the creature creator to bring it to life! Accuracy to the real-world animal is a consideration, but as before we'll also be judging on originality and artistic merit, so render your animal however you wish within our rules. Use your creativity for fun and prizes!
Week Two entries MUST BE UPLOADED AND ENTERED BY SEPTEMBER 1, 11:59 a.m. Pacific Time.5) Post a reply to THIS THREAD with a LINK to your uploaded creature image on GameSpot. Please make sure you've named, described (we need to know which videogame character this is), and tagged your image (Spore Contest 2008 ) as outlined in our FAQ and Official Rules.

I'd say I'm going for #1 and my own Galactic Edition.. But obviously the guy who made the Infection Flood has this won. xD
This is the best I could create a Headcrab from the Half-Life series. Of all the creatures in games the Headcrab is by far my favorite, and I even managed to grab my hands on a plushie of my own. The plushie was great because it made for a good 3D depiction to base the attempt off of. The teeth are messed up on the one I made but I did what I could. The depressive fact is that I couldn't create a beak for it, as the beak goes inwards and to my knowledge such a thing in the CC is, impossible. v_v

Here is mine, took me a while because it is a difficult creature to create, check starcraft2.com under the conecpt art to find best picture of it.
