neither Lucas nor Oscar should realistically cost more than 10/15 million euros.

I watch the U21, U20 and Olympics whenever the tournaments play. So I always keep tabs on young players. So I did see Oscar's hat trick in the final. And he played a great game against Great Britain, But he's not worth much realistically. he's young, inexperienced, and physically a pushover for his position.

Lucas Moura on the other hand is better than Oscar, but he's also a nobody. He's the type of player you sign for 5 million euros, and keep in your youth team for at least 2 seasons, so he can come into the Senior squad with some confidence, and do some great things. To buy him for 25 million euros, is...weird to me.

They're both very young and extremely talented. Capable of being world class in the future. Big talents require big fees. Not the same fees as those made for established world class talents, but you get the point.

Anything over 17m for either is ridiculous. But alas, we live in a time where transfer fees have been inflated due to clubs gaining more revenue and the likes of Chelsea, City, Real Madrid, and Barcelona paying outrageous fees. Brazilian clubs can now also afford to keep their talented young stars.

They're both too good to "keep in your youth team for at least 2 seasons". That's actually stupid. Lucas is 19 and Oscar is 20. If a young player is talented enough, you play him in the first team as much as possible. 18 year old Ronaldo and 18 year old Rooney didn't dick about in the reserves for the two years following their purchase. They were both chucked straight into the first team and look at them now.

we both agree that the fees are too much. As for the youth team thing. Lucas and Oscar are at the right age to play first team football. But they should play their first team football in a league that suits them. Like the La Liga or the Portuguese league. Where frail little pushover players with great technical ability strive.

The myth where a player who is small in stature and focuses more on technical ability, rather than physicality can't make it in England.

Silva and Mata are two shining examples. Not to mention Lucas is a tough little ****er who doesn't normally go down easy.

When have Wigan ever payed high fees?

    Details, details. N'zogbia for 6mil.

But, wait and watch. With the amount of money that clubs will be earning, it's only a matter of time.

Compare that to 100+ mil from Real Madrid for Ronaldo and Kaka.

Both leagues have ridiculously high spenders. Don't know why you're making such a big deal out of this.

This is no time for jokes, my friend. The time for jokes is long past.

This is summer, where muppets range free and sane men are shunned. The transfer market is ruthless and few survive its wrath.

Fergie says there's negotiations but everything else is bollocks.

He also said he's working on more signings.

I don't agree. The thing that sets The spanish apart from the brazilian is...

Spaniards play by making space for themselves to dribble, and then pass to create even more chances
Brazilians(of this generation) play by dribbling through tight spaces, commanding the midfield by dribbling, and taking shots when in the box. (Even Ramires and David Luiz do that) But Alas: Ramires is one of the most fouled players in the league. The most prolfic scorer for Chelsea, but still one of the most fouled. He just spent a lot of time in Benfica, so he can handle it. Oscar and Lucas are young; people say Neymar won't handle Europe because he'll get fouled a lot...I think that applies to Oscar and Lucas too

Neymar dives in friendlies. Constantly. Nobody in else in all of football does that. He can't even claim that it's "jumping out of the way", because then he rolls around begging for an ice-pack when the tip of his hair was lightly touched.

    God I hate Neymar. C*nt.

    speaking of c*nt.

Joey Barton is training with Fleetwood (The league 2 team)

Whether its just a little preseason training to benefit the other team, or if it means Joey Barton is moving there. Idk. but it does look like he's going on loan to fleetwood based on ssn

Fleetwood have got a rich mysterious Arab backing them. They've been signing League 1/Championship standard players since the start of pre-season.
