We field your questions on FIFA 12 to line producer David Rutter.
I hope this year referee have more brain and take more decisions!I hope that I can cheat the referee(players do this)
ea should repeat the gameplay of 2010 fifa world cup south africa game in fifa 12 ...for me the best soccer game ever, the speed the movement from players in the game is amazing... fifa 11 its good but u get bored playing after 1 hour that doesnt happen in 2010 fwcsa game its so fun. i hope they add something from 2010 fwcsa game in fifa 12
I would it if Fifa could add the jamaica team and the blacks stars of africa in fifa 12
I was cracking up when I heard him say landmines lmaoo that would actually be a good fun mode lol I can imagine Messi going through them llolll...
@sindjilic like i said, im not judging the game modes. im saying if you love the sport, and want to play a simulation game, you go to FIFA. the whole world plays FIFA. to tell the truth i doubt even Messi plays PES. youre right, the customization sucks, they dont have a cool story mode for single player, and the player growth still isnt 100%, but it still has the best gameplay out there, you gotta admit it. and its ok to choose to play PES, no problem, but dont say the gameplay is better, cuz you know it isnt. and when is all said and done, thats what matters. i like youre response Totobor, i agree entirely btw, a true soccer player hates that stupid button sequence that does the simulation. NO ONE RESPECTS A DIVER!!! its like the guys lacks the skill to run and just falls to get a FK or worse, a PK. wanna act? go to Hollywood!
How about a possibility to simulate fouls? I'm a FIFA fan, but i liked this option in PES!
@sindjilic Dude its all about GAMEPLAY and realisim, most important in a football game. I realise why you play PES, you know nothing about real football. I love to play career mode (single) because im from the old school, before online games. But now a days all play online and its has to be the most important feature i think, so gameplay is what you have to look first in a game. Licenses are very important for me too, also Customization (thats where FIFA fails big). Fifa 11 Caeer mode was worst ever, they took a big step back and i hope they fix this. But still PES is for people looking for a unrealistic arcade game and easy to play.EA how i have to wait for Argentinian League???
@ c4k0 Have you ever played the dynasty in PES? Have you ever played BAL on PES? You did not so keep it quiet. I have owned every single FIFA game since 1995 and in the last 6 or 7 editions they simply sucked. Nothing more nothing less. Yes the gameplay is way better on FIFA than on PES but at least PES has logical player growth, unbelievably deep dynasty and career mode and I am not even mentioning the incredible customization options (teams, kits, logos and stadiums). If you are going to criticize an entire product basing yourself on only one feature then you are obviously 9 years old. FIFA will never become a better game simply because they are lazy nothing else. Every year they come to us saying that they have added 300 new features but all they do is change small bits. I hope that one day FIFA will be made in Europe and not in Canada (I am a Canadian by the way) and then we can maybe get a "real" football game.
@ChaosUndivided oh yeah I'd forgot about that, i think that was the last version of fifa i brought before Fifa 11, maybe that's why fifa feels good to me these days after years of pes. Makes me laugh how pes has the word 'evolution' in the title, there's an oxymoron if i ever heard one. actually I've just thought of an even better one after reading @futurebat, football glory on the amiga, the biggest rip off of sensible soccer, even the graphics were the same but it had funny moments in it like stippers running on the pitch. There was some arcade game that had strippers running on the pitch and the fat bald referee would run after them with a leery look on his face. Best 20p I ever spend.
@dovonob FIFA 98 road to world cup had an Indoor field as well which was awesome but they never continued the idea. Not even with FIFA 98. This ones not at you but why people say COD fans demanding stupid things it sounds like a foolish assumption that COD fans are playing the game, and you don't need to be a fan of the game to be good at it.
Unless your a die hard FIFA fan you really only need to buy one every 4 years otherwise your just buying the same product with a new roster of players to choose from and some minor changes (player impact) which so far looks the same as FIFA 11. The idea of guns, mines, zombies and ninjas on a seperate game mode to me sounded like a fresh idea to mix the game up after you have had enough of the standard game modes and manager mode only appeals to the enthusiast. But obviously not a great deal goes into these game since they can release one every year its just a matter of updating small details of the previous one. Sorry FIFA but over the years your repetitive style no longer appeals to me
wouldn't it be awesome if a naked guy ran towards the players from the crowd after they struck a goal...once in a while ;0
speaking about crazy stuffs in fifa12 i wonder if the crowd would go crazy if a player is about to shot or boo if a defender blocks it or the keeper saves it...or even if a home player gets a red card the crowd would through all shorts of stuff and shout all kinds of rubbish. It would also be quite fun if the players would REALLY react with one another or the referee with anger and frustration when receiving a red card or a free kick during a vital match..like shouting crazy or pushing or even punching
we should be able to complain with the referee for his decisions, for example, when a player dives and fakes a foul. that would be fun
ok I like the fact that manager mode is improved. but seriously, zombie mode? ninja mode? The crow shouting at the keeper during goal kicks I can understand, it would actually be cool. But zombie, ninja, guns and land mines? I had no idea fifa was a zombie game, or a FPS. I really think parents shouldn't let their 7 year old kids access the internet... Anyway, I'm looking forward to this game, I hope they really concentrate on the important stuff, and at the same time innovate the series, which is getting rather monotonous. people by football games to experience football, and there are so many ideas they could explore, just needs a bit of effort. After all, they have a hole year to improve the game.
it would be nice to have some different fields of play, like an indoor court or astroturf 7 a side pitch complete with friction burns when the players do a slide tackle? I remember striker on the PSONE had an indoor mode which was better than playing the proper full pitch mode, great fun flicking the ball off the wall then doing some ridiculous overhead kick. Striker was a stupid game though but it would be nice to shoulder barge Ronaldo's face into a wall. I also remember some footy game on the speccy 48k where you could play in the streets and even lose the ball over garden fences. Yes its stupid but it adds a bit of variety to it (we'll pretend Fifa Street never existed). also as much as the zombie/landmine thing sounds stupid does anyone remember the sensible soccer demo that was merged with cannon fodder so you could run round the pitch shooting all the players, i think there was a spike pit trap in the goal aswell. Ah good times....
I think the fancy thing is after referee decides a dubious decision, we can control player to complain about the decision or fight with referee or other players. That was a rubbish comment was`n it?
1st, id like to say im happy theyre keeping the penalty engine in FIFA 12. its great to have more control of the situation and know that it requires more skill than to just choose the spot and gamble it goes in like it used to be. id like to see more boot selection and boot updates trhoughout the year though. i wished he had asked more of those questions instead of stupid questions like "be a mascot mode????" or "ninja zonbies?????" grenades??? pathetic. and last, but not least, to sindjilic: people play this game because they love football. FIFA is the only true simulation out there. period. at the end of the day, without putting game modes, licenses in the way, FIFA is still miles ahead of that ridiculous arcade game called PES. just look at the way players move on the pitch and you'll realize that PES just doesnt cut it.
How about having real managers walk around? I mean it would be a nice thing to see Sir Alex or Mourinho reacting to a goal whenever you play with Man U or Real Madrid. Stuff like that.
Ohhh come onnnnn. These are dumb questions. I am sure that they scripted everything because they didn't want ask anything too tough. Just like every year, FIFA will be a letdown. Until PES gets the rights to all licenses FIFA will still be 1st. People will still be super hyped up about it until they actually buy it and then the same story all over again on how it sucks and it has a lot of bugs bla bla bla. Until we all try to unite and boycott the product alltogether, FIFA will never become a better game.
No zombies ??!!! wtf, we pay good money for these games the least you could do is make a zombie mode ... j/k obv. lol actually cant believe someone suggested zombies and landmines. on a serious note, this game looks uber awesome and i really cant wait to play it, im actually looking forward for the demo just to get a taster of it.
Zombie and landmines mode in a soccer game! that's the stupidest thing i've ever heard. Soccer is a sport game not a war game! Are u guys drunk or somthing?
dark_rising76 Posted Jul 12, 2011 3:56 am PT Judging from some of the questions about landmines and zombies, it looks like some of the COD fans are trying to play soccer now. I relish the prospect of crushing cod fans with their run and gun strategies. that is what is great about football it's the chess of sports, oh so your super one dimensional strategy is to lump the ball up to benzema/messi... YOU LOSE
when are you getting champions league licence for this game, big fifa 13 hold over? (it's not exclusive licence from what i understand) i seriously find that seeing more than one video filled with junk wasteful and flat out stupid questions is insulting... people want the game to be improved fo us that play it a lot. Zombie mode... go play black ops you dullards.
will it be on vita? have you fixed the ungettable players in career, ie gerrard/shweinsteiger/etc unwilling to move for 1mil a week after club agrees transfer. will my players carry over from UT11? if no do you really feel it's fair to charge 3.5 for rental packs (not good in 13) have you considered national call ups for be a pro, national campaign in career. has the ai been improved on harder difficulties as apposed to cheap stat boosting for players like pujol and jamie flippin carragher running down walcot/lennon/young/ etc 90 pace plus players? the t1000 factor have you considered 2 v 2s as official online couch co op mode? many people want this. 1v1 gets boring. have you thought of ways to encourage variety in online matches... only so many el classico / spain argentina matchups i want to see... reward players for using weaker clubs. toning down the prevalance of skill moves as it is not used much in real football on top level... THIS IS A SIMULATION, or make it so 4star skill moves+ is limited to a seperate ranked section so us purists can play with 3 star or lower and actually experience build up play(for us that watch footy) plenty of other legitimate questions, why do injuries happen so often in ultimate team??? it feels dirty the ratio. Why is it so easy to hit the post repeatedly with strikers with the clinical finishing shield. I could go on and on with actual non waste questions. how are you discouraging griefing and cheap play in online this year?
helll yeee now people can not just quit when they know they stand no chance :d muhahahahahahahahah
Some of the suggestions are just plain stupid. My brilliant idea is that if there are 3 people playing and you don't want to have 2 (humans) vs 1. Then the 3rd person can be the referee. That way people are really appreciate how difficult that job is and how much more technology are needed.
Am i the only one who thinks zombie mode in FIFA is going to be awesome.....better still if the managers can be in on it
good to see my old mate Rutter's still got his sparkling personality and wit going on. By the way he's rubbish at football himself but to be fair he has made Fifa overtake Pro Evo by actually innovating and enchancing the game every year. And i used to be a pes fanboy aswell :( I begrudgingly take my hat off to you Dave ;oP
Look at all those great ideas but they dont wanna make these mods... Would be so awesome with modes like Zombies, Landmines etc.
I hope that in the game when we do custom formations we can save different squads on the formations rather than going back and constantly changing them every time. That was one of the main benefits in PES 2011.
Judging from some of the questions about landmines and zombies, it looks like some of the COD fans are trying to play soccer now.
