@neohanime
dude, you messed up at the very beginning...
1 uninstall the update
2 disconnect your ps3 from internet to avoid further updates
3 start a new game again (coz you just said you just played it a hour/s ago)
4 go to the point of game where you can customize your paradigm and be sure that the game let you now spend crystogen points to level up your characters...
5 save your game
6 before you do anything on your save be sure to back it up on your pc
7 now do the save hacking...
8 have fun!
note: your save files remembers that your version of ff13-2 is at 1.04 so its pointless if you delete your update 1.04 and your save data is 1.04 that requires a game that is 1.04 and up
Well I didn't just start the game--I've been playing 50+hrs into the game. Well I have the backup game save (1.04), so I load that back to the PS3. Start the game and it asked me to update to 1.04. I said no and load the game successfully. Now this is without the 1.04 patch. I saved the game, assuming it's not 1.04 now. Now attempting to try the hack again. :p - Feb 21, 2012 10:22 pm GMTneohanime posted...

PSN ID: Shuin_Zwei - Feb 21, 2012 10:28 pm GMTCancel the last post, historia crux save the offsets are still no where to be found anymore, no choice but to delete the update first it seems then save after your back to normal. Not sure how that will effect anything you unlocked in dlc or patch though

Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes = Funnest/Hardest RTT/RPG/RTS ever! - Feb 21, 2012 11:12 pm GMTMore bad news, reverting to 1.0 > saving teh game again as a 1.0 save still = missing offsets now that the update is in.
Do indeed need to research from scratch all over again now :/

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyOPFgxvXXM - FFXIII-2 - Feb 22, 2012 1:42 pm GMTI too can confirm that after the new game update you can still do this just fine.
But I have one problem.. When I do the steps everything works except noel's STR mod.
I have went to offset 34300 Col 9 and the value was already at FF. I tried changing it to FF anyway and when I return to the game it is the only value that is incorrect and did not change to full. Any clue why??

just an experiment try value -> "7C" load the game -> see where that gets you -> save -> copy your most recent save -> hexedit to FF and see where that gets you.
hope it works out - Feb 22, 2012 11:53 pm GMTqu3z3r0 posted...

Thank you I will definitely try that out. I wish I knew what acceptable values are, but I will mess around a bit for sure!

- Feb 23, 2012 9:42 am GMTEnvious of the Xbox guys. Since Jappii wrote the decrypter they have now been able to find and add items, edit stats and passive abilities for monsters, change characters. Oh and complete the bestiary!
Soon PS3, soon. - Feb 23, 2012 9:44 am GMTGoing to be an influx of trophies now that people decided to cheat on the newer systems.
And despite what you say.. no, most people will use them before plantiuming the game. - Feb 23, 2012 11:26 am GMTWho cares? Trophies are worthless anyway.

I had fun playing games long before others felt they needed to prove they have had more fun than me, by compairing fake trophies. We have had over 300 comments from people like yourself. As my momma said "If you can't say something nice..." It's not as if we can use our trophies as currency on psn. This has opened a whole new level for the gamers. Maybe some of us are not interested in having 9999 strength (that by the way helps with maybe one out of dozens of trophies), maybe we are interested in playing as a NPC or as Mog. I mean how does playing as Mog get me more trophies? - Feb 23, 2012 4:15 pm GMTe13design posted...

With a little help (a suggestion sent via PM) I figured it out. All I did was try to change the value to something different (in my case FE) and it worked.
My two cents on the matter of hacking the game save is right or wrong, I feel it is neither. I have full intention on completing the game legitimately first. I just made a second copy of my original game save and hacked that, and backed it up on a memstick and on their servers with my PS+ account. Deleted it from my system to kill my desire to mess with it further until after I beat this game normally, and by normally I mean to platinum. In that case I see no problem playing a hacked game, because you got the rest on your own first.
But I hold no grudge on those that do it the other way, because I am one of those that see trophies and achievements as an extra bonus. They have no monetary value, therefor in my eye they are just something that pops up because Sony and the developer says it should. I personally wish Sony and Microsoft never came out with them to begin with.
And now that I am the new most hated person on these forums for my personal view that I thought I would share, I will retire into my corner and watch me get flamed by my new found enemies

I'm trying out different combinations and so far I've only gotten Noel's to 217. anyone know the new values?
