This game is going to be epic. After everything I've read.. it's definitelly already 10x better than 1.0. Can't wait until it's launch O.o
1 Like Got damn Squenix knows how to make one hell of a trailer. Been a huge FF fan since way back, and still consider FFXI one of my favorite MMOs, though I haven't played in for years. In the FFXIV beta I was not impressed in the least. Lets hope the new version can rekindle that flame.
Interesting trailer. I'm intrigued. Was the trailer trying to convey something specific, or is it a catch-all for everything Final Fantasy? I'll admit I don't know enough about the series to notice if there was anything symbolic or not. The only things I recognize are the chocobo bird and those..."short people".
@Brakkyn it was the closing scene for the 1.0 version of the game. Basically the end of the world as it was known. 2.0 will be called a realm reborn. the entire game including the maps and UI have been redone on a brand new engine. The blast in the trialer is what causes the land to change in the game.
@Brakkyn Yes the trailer is basically the final cut scene from FFXIV's story. The new version is amazing! I can't wait for it to launch :D
will ps3 players be able to play with pc owners?
also would you need a keyboard on ps3 to talk to people?
@jaypricel19 Yes both versions will be for the same game so console and pc gamers will be together. As far as chatting goes, having a keyboard is your best option. There's plenty of people who use a controller + keyboard on their computers and like the way it works. Most linkshells (guilds) offer voice chat for their members as well.
I've actually gone and made myself an account just to rant and comment on the fact very one seams to have forgotten .. forgotten or given up the re-make of FFVII - I think its about time don't you? 16 years since the original came out - im disgraced Exisoft-SOFTSQARE POOP ... whatever they call themselves now - need to pull there finger out... & get doing what many are waiting for.
@zachartom Actually, it's not time yet. First we gotta get our remakes of FFV (best combat) and FFVI (The real "best" FF game). Until those two are remade in amazing 3D, granted it's most likely gonna be on a portable platform, we're not getting a FFVII remake.
P.S. This is coming from a huuuugggeeeee FFVII fan! But you gotta do it in order
1 Like I hope a lot of the elements from FFXI are included in A Realm Reborn. XI had me hooked for years, so blending parts from that into the new game and system will be amazing! I just want this to be out already! haha
1 Like Well, it's comforting to know they are completely wrecking the old client (server and client side) and using a new game engine. It's not like the graphics were ever the problem with this game. I want to say that XIV 1.0 failing was good for SE. The fans finally pushed back at their cavalier attitude towards its fanbase. Let's hope it results in a great game!
1 Like Square Enix cut scenes never disappoint.. Hopefully the gameplay will be a blast as well!!
