Looks like it will be a great show, though I'm still dissapointed Samuel L. Jackson isn't returning. It won't be the same without him. Also I can't believe Far Cry 2 got nominated for best shooter and not best driving game, since that's basically all it is... a game where you freaking drive around endlessly...- Please wait. Here is my reasoning:
LBP: Fresh concept for a game and they pulled it off fantastically. Really brought something new to the console gaming market
MGS4: Masterful story telling, beautiful presentation and spectacular gameplay. Greatest finale to any video game series.
GTA4: Hype train. Its not a bad game by any standards, a definite 9.0 game, but its not GOTY worthy. GTA: SA was GOTY worthy.
Gears2: Fantastic graphics and amazing gameplay, but in reality...its too much like Gears1. Not a big enough leap to earn GOTY.
Fallout3: KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!!! Seriously Bethesda, just stop. Oblivion with guns does not deserve GOTY. Monotonous scenery and a terrible combat system should not get GOTY. They should only give FO3 GOTY if Bethesda agrees to sell the IP to another dev company. At this point, I would be happy if Bioware acquired it (and I despise KOTOR games
