This month's pick up thread is sponsored by The Rudd Government, bribing a nation since 2008!

The regulars know what this all about, but for any newbies in the crowd tonight I'll give you a quick run down, this is our pick up thread. You post the items which you bought this month here, pictures are preferred.

Here are mine to kick it off:

Some DVD's and a Blu Ray (Ha! Look at Caruso! He's so funny!).

Three games for my PS3 and a Dual Shock 3 Controller (Once again the 360 remains the neglected child).

Some books and manga (thank you Borders).

And lots of CD's! (If you don't know what one is just ask).

    Your turn Gamespot!

    Nice pickups man btw.

Hey Cactus, could you do your bestest buddy a favor? Put a dash inbetween pick and up. It makes for easier searching of the board so you can remember if you got something this month or last month. It would also be great if Darth could do that with last months thread. Now onto my month:

    Manga:

    Rosario + Vampire volumes 5 and 6
    DeathNote volumes 11 and 12
Ouran Highs School Host Club volume 1 (which I already had, this one came with the DVD)
Shonen Jump April '09 edition (yes, I got it for the 1 chapter of Rosario that's in it, and I don't plan on reading anything else in it)
    DVD:
Ouran High School Host Club DVD part 1 (which doesn't work on the 360 )
    Points:
    2 x 1,500 MS Points
    Virtual:

The Dishwasher Dead Samurai XBLA game
MCLA South Central car packs 1 and 2.
Not pictured: A pre-order. A mysterious preorder that shall be revealed in either June or July's P-U thread.

Hopefully Banjo Tooie will be coming later on but I've already used most of our downloads this month and I don't want to go over.

Turbo's post reminded me of some DLC I picked up this month:Photobucket

So, as you can see I bought the Burnout Paradise Toy Collection, the Variety Map Pack (came free with COD4) and Linger in Shadows

    Photobucket

...and the Burnout Boost Specials which I somewhat regret.

    I had a massive month!

First up, I bought a Qantas A380 plane.....

....ticket to the USA to go snowboarding.

Games that I picked up over in the USA:

GH: Metallica, X-Blades, Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard, The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena and Chrono Trigger.

Music, Movies and TV Series that I also got:

Music CDs are Story of the Year - The Black Swan and Emery - While Broken Hearts Prevail EP.
Bluray movies are Oceans Trilogy, The Kingdom, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Quantam of Solace, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, Pineapple Express, Serenity and Stargate (the original film: Kurt Russell and James Spader).
TV Series are Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Season 1, Lost Season 4, Chuck Season 1.

Finally I got new snowboard boots. These suckers were 40% off, bargain!
    Burton SLX, Black. Size 10.

Unfortunatley I forgot to take a pic of these when I bought them, and they are packed in my snowboard bag and I really cbf unpacking that bag just to take photos. So this pic from the Burton website will have to suffice.

That about wraps up my pickups this month.

The Human Touch by Michael Frayn
    Dracula by Bram Stoker
Judas Unchained by Peter F. Hamilton
    Firewall by Andy McNab
Adams vs God The Rematch by Phillip Adams
A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
Pachelbels Canon - Favourite Baroque Minituares
Beethoven Moonlight Sonata, Appassionata Sonata and Pathetique Sonata
    Judgement by Anathema
    The Protector
    Hellsing Ultimate I

And now, the best pick up of all

A Schecter Diamond Series Stilleto Elite 5 including a Gator case. Some close ups, sorry for bad camera phone quality (someone took my usual camera)

My mistake, it was an Elite, not an Extreme.

I got a few games and DVD's, but this is the big pick-up of the month - a 2008 Ford Focus XR5 Turbo (admittedly, I don't take delivery of it till May, but what the hell)

If you liked the new Transformers movie, you'll probably want to brutally murder me right about.....now.

Nice car Rifty, although is your car actually that orange colour or is it the one on display.
Anyway shocker of a month for me, only valkyria chronicles (PS3) and res 5 Vs mode (360)
On a better note my room is fully renovated ^_^ and now the ps3 AND the 360 have got a nice place on my wall unit.

It's mine alright. If I took possession of it now, I'd pay full retail ($43,000), so we figured we'd wait and get it for 10 grand less. It's amazing what you can do when you know the guy who runs the dealership I did get to test drive it, and my first thought was "do I have to drive the old Bluebird home?"

I am still in my gaming drought, I haven't bought anything new in a while thanks to my friends being bastards. They broke my bike just after I had it repaired. So I have to spend another couple of hundred dollars getting it fixed.
I still haven't got my giant beanbag. Maybe next weekend when I have a van with which to transport it.
The PS3 is still in my mind, hopefully a couple of weeks after the beanbag I'll purchase it.

Freek I am in awe of your bass. I think I love it. I definitely need to buy me a new one, I've had my ol' 1980s Yamaha for like 3 years even though it only cost $150.

A few DVDs, a few games (*gasp* all PC!), a couple of books, a microphone for the iPod Touch (I wanted to play with Shazam) and a new phone to replace my busted work mobile - a BlackBerry Pearl.

As for the virtual stuff, Valkyria Chronicles DLC and some touch games.

Thanks man. Given that the old ESP was having a few problems, and I felt that I needed to push myself forward, an upgrade was inevitable. So my old man thought he would surprise me with it last night as a gift for all my hard school work and great grades, which is ironic as I took today off just because I felt like it and I needed a break The old ESP now goes to my younger cousin who wants to learn bass, so instead of her buying one she can have one as a gift, and its been working great since its last repair, got some stuff replaced and its all good. All she needs is an amp, a strap and a lead, so she will only have to spend as much as $200, $150 in the least for a basic amp which usually goes for around $100.

What music stores have you got near you?

Also, what are your opinions on those NIN albums Cactus? Have a particular favourite.

    April Pick-up

Sabbath bloody Sabbath, Master of Reality and Megadeth's Killing is My Business... and business is good!

And for some reason I felt like buying a $20 Remote Control car. The holidays were made fun.

2008 Dodge Challenger. I wanted a ****c car butK-Mart didn't have any and this is the closest they had to looking ****c

Still pretty cool and fairly speedy and I can rip some sick donuts in it.

Oh, and I downloaded the shareware version of Wolfenstein 3D. It's free but it's awesome.
