My XBL got blocked by my internet provider. It would connect to the internet, but not XBL. So when this happened I thought that they blocked PSN and I was so pissed. Having no online gaming what so ever would kill me. But I'm glad it's them not me.

Imo, the ps3 should have safeguards in place for preventing a psn malfunction from affecting the entire system. I smell a class action lawsuit in the future. It's ok if psn is down but I cannot be convinced that a problem preventing someone from using there ps3 at all is ok.

I know it is somewhat weird to freak out, but even if i don't beleive that you can loose trophys permanently, i am scared of loosing mine, because out of all the stuff this error is doing, this by now seems the worst... since you can't Redownload Trophys. but i do beleive that they don't go away since they are saved to your acount.

but hey, i would never belived that a online error would prevent you form playing offline games single players bla bla bla...

This makes sense too. Maybe it has something to do with leap year? But that still doesn't explain the whole http://www.us.playstation.com/PS3/dearplaystation issue.

    All,

I hope it is a hacker... Imagine if they have managed to grab all our details... Am I right in thinking or Card details for shopping on the Playstation Network would be stored in the same area ?

I think it is something far more simple than that... My connection kept dropping in and out just before the error occured... perhaps if this was the same UK/Europe all over it may have currupted an area of the servers the hold our accounts.

What ever it is... There are so many users facing the same issue I am sure it will be resolved shortly... Even if a new Server is required, they would have a Disaster Recovery procedure/back-up and restore plan.

Just sit tight... Don't start reformatting your PS3's like it suggests on the PS3 WEB site for 600 related issues... (That would be my suggestion/advice, as I have already tried that, and it doesn't work).

I cant chill, I payed $60 for a game and $125 to fix my blu ray laser. Unless i get my money back, i'm not relaxing.

Nasti002, Your game can wait, yes? Why don't you watch some DVDs on your PS3 instead? It is a multi media device.

My PS3 has two functions: 1st is to play MW2 and the 2nd is to play fifa. I dont use it for anything else. And I can't get that going because some queer bait hacker or hackers are spoiling my fun.

Same here. I was playing a game online with my 60GB Fat PS3, and all of a sudden it froze. I had no option but had to turn off. I turned off and received a 8001050f code, seconds later. I tried playing Marvel v.s Capcom 2 and Bomberman Ultra and both seemed to revert to trial mode and I cannot play them as full games. I haven't checked out everything else yet. It seems to be a crash on Sony's Behalf. Possibly with Heavy Rain, Trophy Support, or etc.

in all seriousness this is the third time this has happened to me. 28-2-2008, 28-2-2009 and today 28-2-2010. i had a PS3 original, modified 1TB (ex 40GB) internet browser still works tho. The anoying thing is if we didn't have this crappy trophies thing, we could play all our games in offline mode. oh well at least it looks nicer than the slim ps3. lol

There was this guy sitting out of sight with a sniper rifle and picking off my team in Uncharted. I snuck up and stealthed him. I heard some crying and something about "Him making us all pay." I bet he's behind all this.

I don't see how it could be a network error since people without their PS3s hooked up to the internet are having the same problem.
