To celebrate video games history month, we've decided that our latest Community Games Night will be spent playing Counter-Strike: Source--a golden oldie! For more information on how to join, check out the details below:

    Who?
    Dan, Randy, and Koz.

    When?
The 31st of May (aka next Tuesday), at 7pm AEST.

    What game?
    Counter-Strike: Source on Steam.

What game modes and maps will I need installed?
There are thousands of Counter-Strike maps out there, so we're going to stick with the standard ones like Dust and Office. Sticking with the basic maps means that the night should run smoother and we won't have to wait for people to download levels, holding everyone up.

    How do I join?
I'll be hosting this from my personal Steam account, so just add "oz_koz" to your friends list and I'll invite you on the night.

Quick pro-tip: try and be online a few minutes beforehand, just to make sure you'll have time to download any patches or updates. We'd hate for you to be late, or miss out on any of the action!

    Easy! See you next Tuesday.

    Cheers,

    Koz

I'm busy that night, but anyone with any sort of recording device, could you record and post some of the highlights?

Im in. Provided that you can pull me away from playing the Witcher 2 during my 'game time' Though I can probably take short vids through fraps and upload it through here. Of course, there will be screenshots and blood.

Dude, quality. I'm so in. The only maps we need are Dust and Assault. I haven't played CS since high school!

Now that I think of it, I only played CS 1.6 and it was probably the last time I've played a shooter with a mouse & keyboard.

Anybody who sits on top of the largest hydrogen-oxygen fueled system in the world; knowing they're going to light the bottom- and doesn't get a little worried- does not fully understand the situation.

I just purchased it. I assume anyone who buys this now gets this too:

I'll give my pass to anyone who wants in on this CGN a couple of days before the event.

[edit] I forgot to add, my Steam ID is "elektrixxx".

Yay! Finally a game I actually have. Though I just got BC2 and I think that's already been done. But yeah, I may end up being one of the only ones here who still plays often, so I might have to go easy.

Well you're likely able to play it, it's a 2004 game and the engine has only had one real upgrade, and it didn't make all that much of a difference.

Man it's been so long since I've played that game. Better dust off the ol' shotgun

EDIT: Nevermind, found you. If anyone has trouble finding Koz, search for his real name instead. He's the philosoraptor

I'll join in although I'm more of a 1.6 player. Are you going to play in any server in particular?

@elektrixxx: cs_assault was always in the daytime. You might be thinking of assault2k, which I'm pretty sure was a night one.

Oh I see, well solitaire can be demanding, especially when you win and have about a million cards on screen at once,
