    I haven't played my save in over 2 years. But I have all maxed gear, killed Ozma, etc. The chocobo on map will not lift off. I forget how, and when I hit square it says "I need to rest choco." I don't remember ever resting the birds.

    You should mention which game your referring too. This forum is for all the final fantasy games.

    Judging by the Ozma reference, FFIX. The issue might be that you can only take off from a forest by pressing x within one. Another issue may be progress in the chocobo side quest.
