I will agree to the gain experience points and spend them on unlocks tactics. What I would love to see is the bring back of Halo 2's individual playlist ranking system. Now as anyone who played Halo 2 every single day for hours on Xbox Live knows, even during the transition from XBOX to XBOX 360, the frustrating, yet competitve, ranking system of Halo 2 is now a lost gem in gaming nowadays. Yes, you would rank up depending on your win streak. When you hit the upper levels of around 36-50 and lost a game and immediately after were a level or sometimes two lower than before the match you lost. This is what made Halo 2 the gem it was for most of us who played it for sport. If you won a game against higher ranked players you gained more experience towards the next rank and would lose more experience when losing to a team of lower rank. It made every game count! "Look at these level 32 nubz! *get spanked* "ARE YOU KIDDING ME I WENT FROM 42 TO 41?! ARGHHH!" It was the most rewarding matchmaking that I can recall in ... forever! I can remember the fear a high ranked team would instill. If they are going to turn Halo into a COD game by adding in perks and insane gadgets and gizmos, why not have ranked matches use the old Halo 2 ranking system to bring out the true competition that is Halo? I don't understand why if someone who is a nub, plays a ranked match and loses, They still rank up as though they did something good? Nowadays, even if you go 2-30 in every match you could still be a higher rank than someone who goes 30-2? Am I preaching a broken record here? If you join a game with a skill based ranking system you wouldn't have to worry about your teammates being garbage because they worked as hard as you did to get to the same rank as you! Your teammates aren't going to quit because they REALLY don't want to lose their hard earned rank!

    Anyone else agree?

bringing back the halo 2 rank system will ensure true competitive gaming, dedicated fans who will play for non-stop hours, telling the little 8 year old noobs that they cant play this game, and a kick ass game that will be enjoyable to play until the next games release just like halo 2. the competitive rank system made halo the greatest game out on the market back in the day. if halo 4 doesnt have a skill based rank system, then it will end up just like reach

I'm gonna be honest, I don't like trueskill rankings. This is possibly because I am not as good as other people, but I like working for XP to level up. I think it would be cool if there was an XP rank and a trueskill rank in Halo 4 side by side.
