So Sony fans... got any opinion on the gameplay instead of just wishing for characters?
it has depth to it.
so you build up energy, but then there will be items that you can pick up and use (like the Spear from God Of War) to hit peeps to drain their energy, and then their energy (AP) will scatter through AP balls and you can steal their AP for yourself.
another one is that the levels are dynamic. look at the Ratchet&Clank Metropolis level. there will be moving platforms, and then the Hydra (from GoW) comes out and the level changes. now the middle part of the floor opens up and you'll see spikes/traps inspired by GoW. plus exploding red crates will appear from time to time (from Ratchet games).
there's also gameplay modes like a survival-ish mode where you only have a set number of lives, but the number won't be shown. there's also the normal high score mode but the scores won't be showed until the end of the match.
there are also gameplay variations like Sly Cooper not having a block button but instead he goes invisible, and he can teleport. there's also the RPG-7 from Uncharted, and the gravity shield from the Wipeout series, etc.
and again the Hades level, where Hades tries to attack the players. then in comes the Patapons where they attack both Hades and the players. when the Patapons reach a "Fever!" they'll throw spears at the players.
then there's the LittleBigPlanet level where it start out with nothing and as time progresses the levels gets built with trees and whatnot. and afterwards Buzz from the game show video game appears and asks questions to the players. if you get it correctly you'll get rewarded and if it's incorrect you get electrocuted.
you can grab and do an air dodge, do block, there are 3 buttons (Square, Triangle, Circle) to attack, (X) to jump. R2 to super, L1 to block/air dodge,
and yeah, i can see Parappa being overpowered.

So far from what I've seen it looks great! Really well done and the charecters look like they're all going to be unique. Only thing I'm wondering is about the KO system, I'm curious if there's different ways to kill enemies or if there are other match type settings.
Also I hear Parappa might be a little over powered since in the tournament they held everyone but ONE person was Parappa. But the game still has alot of room left to be polished, so they'll probably fix some things. Overall I'm very excited about it and I'm going to buy it.

They are the result of an experience that makes an impression on the mental and emotional superhighway of the game reviewer. I don't have a spreadheet that starts with a 10 and has calculations built in, where "low frame rate" = a .25 hit to the score. It doesn't work that way, and thank God for that.

Apparently he has a move that gives him special points through a boom box and his 3rd special is an instant kill for everyone on the screen (except for him of course). I have no idea what it is, I only saw the skate board special.
I think the Helghast will be interesting to play as.
Son't know if this was posted yet, but here's how this game plays.
You essentially beat up your opponents with normal moves in order to build your super gauge. There are three tiers to your super gauge each one earning you a more powerful super. When you unleash your super and use up that gauge you are now capable of eliminating your opponents. Basically, supers are the only way you can defeat your opponents and rack up points. This is a different kind of gameplay that could be very interesting if handled properly. If you hold on to your super in hopes of bringing out your big guns you risk being eliminated by someone else's super. There is a risk/reward thing going on here

That is a good idea, what you talking about? Cloud and Vincent would be great (especially vincent since he can transform).
My idea was to add in a level editor and give us Joel and Ellie from The Last of Us, that would get them more exposure and get more people interested in buying the game.
The game is gonna rock, your just mad because you can't play the game. 360 could never get a game like this, sorry.

Defensive? Your the one who sounds defensive. I'm just excited about the game is all, I don't see any reason for anyone to be bashing this game other than they simply can't play it and are jealous.
I wish xbox owners got a smash style game too, but the simple fact is they can't. Don't get mad at me or the PS3 get mad at MS for not having better exclusives. Mabey you weren't angry I apoligise for accusing you.

well, there will be different button combinations. not exactly like Street Fighter.
there's the four directional buttons (or analog stick) + three face buttons (Square, Triangle, Circle)
for example, you press Down + Circle and Parappa the Rapper will bring out a boombox that spits out AP balls. risk/reward gameplay because if his opponents took the AP balls from the boombox they'll be stunned for like a second or two.
or Up + Triangle and Radec will bring out his sniper rifle
those kinds of things.
basically every character is guaranteed to have 12 moves.
