Gamespot staff,
As u should already be aware, the majority of ur board community doesnt agree with this "Request a board" mentality thts been instated. Its wasted effort by the community to request something that we shouldnt have to ask for. I myself dont care entirely for offical reviews and turn to user reviews to the insight for whatever game imm playing (good or bad). Ive always trusted Gamespot msg boards for decent user reviews/info (once u weed out all the trolls/hates/etc) and without a dedicated msg board i find it unnecessaryto login to multiple sites to do my reading.
Imm a long time member here, and have a suggestion that might help...
What if u put up dedicated servers for the all recent/active games. and the game msg boards that dont have alot of activity or non at all should link to gamefaqs, etc. then u keep all the dedicated GS msg boarders like myself and keep up whatever "i send them to u" relationship u have with gamefaqs...
please return to the system u had before, U shoulda made Gamefaqs sign a Prenuptail agreement or something.lol

if you want to go to the GameFAQs boards you can log in via GameFAQs with the same id and password you use for Gamespot the same as you always could.
it is simply that the two sites are no longer connected so you can't use their boards with your Gamespot ID anymore.
the only way to develop our boards though is to start using them - if you like the moderation styIe of GameFAQs then all you have to do is log in from there when you want to use the formerly dedicated game boards
