Hi! I'm building another system so we can game together at our place.

I've been picking up parts as I find a good deal on them and the last piece I need is a videocard.

    I bought this processor:AMD Phenom II X6 1045T Processor - Six Core, 6MB L3 Cache, 3MB L2 Cache, 2.70GHz, Socket AM3, 95W, Fan, Retail

Which I believe is going to be the limiting factor of my performance.

What is the best videocard I can buy to go with it? And also I was hoping to know which card is the best value? I'm really open to both options.

    Thank you!

Most games are still going to be GPU limited. A GTX 570 wouldn't be bottlenecked imo

Your Phenom 2 X6 will not limit you enough for you to see since most games are gpu bound, You can get a GTX 680 or even 7970 and blow through games with ease.

My PC is not a gaming PC in the sense that does not have a GPU that will run games in playable frame rates, other than that is a DX11 GPU that will run any game in any setting

    Was xbox 360 based on a 9800 pro of 2003 ?

No, it was based on a 8800GTX of 2006

Okay that sounds great! I didn't spend much on the processor because I wanted to put more into the videocard.

That is exactly the way you are supposed to do it. As for which video card to get, Find the price point you'd like to be at and get that. The last video card I recommended to a friend was a 670, which is 400 bucks.
