I went to start Valkyria Chronicles yesterday evening and I can't hear the voices. I've adjusted both sound settings but the voices are very, very low. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

Well, it's not from the game, you can be sure of that. I played it both on an SD and HD TVs, worked like charm on each.

Congratulations though, it's a great game and you have an excellent taste to try it.

Did you mess with your PS3 Audio settings lately? Try adjusting some of those.

Every other game works great. I'm feeding my ps3 through HDMI to my LG surround sound system. I've changed every setting in the system and the game. I haven't tried changing any sound settings in the PS3. I'll try that and see what happens. I'll update as soon as figure out what the heck is wrong.

After changing every setting I know of, I still have the same problem. The PS3 is outputting in 2.0 and the center dialog is completely cut off. When someone talks and it's on the right channel, I can hear it just fine. I cannot get the PS3 to output in 5.1. I'm at a total loss now.

Have you tried playing the game installed or, if you did that from the beginning, uninstalled? Since it is optional here testing both options might be worth a try.

I went into the PS3 sound settings and saw that it was outputting a lot of different formats. I deselected all but the 5.1 and one 2.0 that it wouldn't let me deselect for some reason. However, this fixed the problem and everything is clear now!

Good to know. Hopefully you don't run into anymore issues like this. Enjoy the game, I tired to, but I suck at it lol.
