49 games coming out looks great! I cant believe that people keep writing off the Vita. Other platforms were and are (looking at you xb0x) in slums. Right now its the summer and theres always a lull in games. Just wait until gamescom (TGS at the latest) for a price drop and all these great games to come out.

    • Dedicated jump button, the X button. The right trigger runs, but doesn't automatically jump at ledges?instead, you have to press X to jump. That's a big change from a series that typically hasn't had a real jump button.
    • The demonstrator tapped the touch screen to increase the horses' speed and held his finger down to make them slow down.
    • The game will have an economy like in the console games, though it will be different and "exclusive to the Vita,"
    • Alligators confirmed
    • Aveline has a mechete.

THOSE 2 GAMES look great, and i hope they dont include mp in assassin creed and focus on an amzing handheld sp experience. also im happy assassin creed vita is not a port from the consoles and is an exclusive ggame made for the vita. i seriously dont want any port from consoles on the vita but rather want the vita to have its own games.

They will be including multiplayer, that's been confirmed, but there aren't any details at the moment.

Personally, I missed out on the whole Assassin's Creed multiplayer thing. I'm intrigued.

All the same, the idea of the multiplayer is interesting, even if no one played it the way it was meant to be played.

Who knows, maybe they'll switch it up somehow with this one?

Sure, the list is big, but over half those games are available elsewhere. Exclusive games sell systems. Are people really going to buy a Vita to play Assassins Creed when the console version comes out around the same time? Sony is betting too much on cross play function to sell the system. No one is going to buy the Vita to play games that he or she can play on console.

Gawd, is that really your argument?

    Exclusives: Assassin's Creed 3:Liberation
Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified
    Gravity Rush
    LittleBigPlanet
    Ragnarok Odyssey
    Silent Hill: Book of memories
    Soul Sacrifice

All of those will be released this year with the exception of Soul Sacrifice. Don't you think that Sony will have something else in store for us in 2013?

On another note, how many good exclusives will release on the PS3 and Xbox 360 from here on and until the end of this year? Multiplats are NEEDED and obviously they aren't the only games released on the console. At any rate it's impossible to say what COD and AC will do for the console, but mind you - I don't think that the PS Vita will be such a big succes as Sony had hoped for, not as of right now, they might turn it around, but it won't be easy. They goofed up E3 so now can only hope to get some good news at Game Heaven (this month) or at TGS (September).

The Vita is in a different position than the other systems. The Vita is not selling, so it needs more exclusives more so than the other systems. Six games out of the 42 or so coming is not enough. The exclusives coming out for the handheld are not system sellers. Assassins Creed and Call of Duty might do the trick, but it is doubtful. Silent Hill: Book of Memories was supposed to be out months ago. From what has been shown, it does not look that good. Gravity Rush and Ragnarok Odyssey are not going to get the West to buy Vita's. It did not even move hardware that much in Japan. I think the Vita is a cool system, but it is not going to last that long if it does not get more of a broad appeal. I agree, that the system has more games then people give it credit for, but titles coming out for it will not entice the masses to plop down $250 plus a memory card.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you here. It does indeed need more exclusives, but I don't personally think that we'll see the exclusives people Are hopinh for. I might be wrong, but I believe that Sony will start up somewhat slow with a good amount of exclusives (as I just posted), A LOT of multiplats and Even more smaller PSN games. They'll make it attractive, not by having ONE massive game (similar to the xbox/Halo), but by providing a lot of good games, both exclusives, multiplats and PSN titles. I wouldn't be surprised if we then later, some time down the road, will see exclusive MGS and GTA titles for it. At the very least it looks and sounds this way, esepcially that Sony will flood us with smaller games. Will this work and satisfy the mass bulk of gamers? Dunno, only time will tell.

oh and just a minor correction, Sony plan to sell bundles with a game + memory card for $250 (see AC:L bundle), which should help some too.

anyway I also believe that the lack of "mass appealing" games aren't the only issues. I read on neogaf that Sony fired their Vita PR division a couple of months before its release and it would also appear that retails stores aren't quite convinced. Hell the whole gaming community isn't. Sony would've been at a far better spot if they didn't mess up their E3 show.
