Nintendo have been lazy over the last few years. Even on Invisible Walls Shane asked WTF have they been doing for 4 years. Pikmin 3 and New Supoer Mario Wii 2 were both games on the Wii and DS at one time. New Mario Brothersd Wii and Galaxy 2 was also left overs that did not make the cut on Galaxy 1 and the DS version of Mario. Skyward Sword was delayed for a short while and they did not develope any new strong IP's for the Wii.
Nintendo have been lazy for a while now. They keep farming out their franchises like Metroid and letting other teams butcher them because I guess they do not have the desire to do it themselves. I don't get it. Plus they have a talented studio in Retro but they released 2 console games total in the last 6 0r 7 years? And I remember when the producer of Metroid Prime 3 said the game was finished but Nintedno held it back for like 7 months and rumors started spreading about multiplayer that ended up not being true. Nintendo just wanted to spread out its releases.
Nintendo has really went to hell over the Wii's life cycle.

So ou want a controler to have constant streaming, analogue controls, rumble, a colour display, camera, montion controls, NFC AND a capacitive multi-touchscreen; while being light enough to hold and have a decent battery life?
Making the screen multi touch too would be too high cost and drain the battery too much to be worthwhile.
