Sure he was a criminal, but his life brought about one of the greatest American films and perhaps the definitive expose on gangster culture of the mid to late 20th century.

    Anyone watching Goodfellas tonight?

    Heart attack huh?

Then how do you explain his body being found frozen and hooked up in a trailer meatlocker?

Sometime soon, I need to get through King Of New York first.

I was thinking about buying the Goodfellas Blu-ray, my double-sided DVD is of horrendous quality. I wouldn't even call it VHS quality.

    Goodfellas wasn't all that.

About time he died too. I show no compassion for 'gangsters'.

Guy becomes gangster to be unique, involved in criminal activities

Guy betrays group to save self, joins witness protection group, pissed he has to live normally again

Guy makes life story which becomes movie making him unique and yet loved by everyone

It don't add up, yes I have seen the movie but I never intend to buy it (Yes I know the TV version is changed).

IIRC the worst thing he ever did was to witness a murder and drive the car to the place where the body was dumped.

The god lord Martin Scorsese thought his life was worthy of film, therefore the passing of that life is clearly a sad thing.
