System Wars is a one of a kind destination where gamers can discuss, rant, and debate about systems, platforms, handhelds and the games. Not many people survive System Wars. The mightiest system warriors back up their arguments with facts.
Rules are simple:
- Read the Terms of Use and System Wars Survival Guide.
- Must be Level 10 or higher to create topics.
- Keep your discussions around what belongs here: platforms, games, developers, publishers, and stats.
- Don't quote more than one image in your post.
- Do NOT post or bump extremely abusive discussions (adult material/illegal activities/illegal advertising/etc).

for Dance games, Exercise games and party games?
I guess if the only type of games you play are first person shooters then you hate Kinect out of ignorance.

Real life? Kinect is a waste of money until they start making quality games and improve the technology for the next generation.

Following in the same logic path, no one should buy Madden anymore because playing football is better, right?

[/QUOTE] I've never played a dance game, nor do I care to. Exercise is a wash. Any one of the 3 motion controls can do exercise games as well as they want to. Truthfully the entire idea of an exercise game is absurd. You're not really playing a game, just responding to prompts that distract you from the fact that you're doing actual exercise. I could write up a routine for someone if they wanted and it would cost less than your kinect. Besides, the merits of each accessory should not be restrained to just dance and exercise games. But even if we do restrict it to that, the Kinect is not so far superior in those 2 categories to side-step the fact that it is still the worst of the 3 motion control systems.- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.

I guess in your opinion exercise videos are worthless as well? Kinect is an easy, fun and cheap way to exercise. You can have a personal trainer in your living room and they are guiding you through your routine. It is leaps and bounds better than an exercise video because it is interactive. And it is better than Move and Wiimote because it actually tracks your movements and can detect if you are doing them correctly.
You may not like dance games but that does not mean they are worthless. Different people have different likes. Dance games are actually very popular. Kinect takes them to another level not possible in the past dominated by DDR dance mats. Kinect is an easy, inexpensive fun way to practice your dance moves, party with your friends and burn some calories along the way.
Sure you can join a dance class in real life and hire a personal trainer in real life but both of these are much more expensive options. For someone who just wants to have some fun and do it inexpensively, Kinect is a great option. It is also superior to Move and Wiimote which really can't quite keep up.
