    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/jul/19/ann-romney-voters-will-fire-coach/

Ann Romney tells ABC News she thinks the Obama campaign's attacks on her husband have been "beneath the dignity of the presidency."

She says that ultimately she believes voters are "going to fire the coach."

Mrs. Romney says the family gives 10 percent of its income to the church and he took no salary during his four years as governor of Massachusetts. She says that should be enough to put aside people's concerns about her husband's finances.

Both men are worth millions - Romney didn't take his salary as a politician, saved Massachusetts a lot of money over 4 years. Bet he will do the same thing if he wins the Presidency.

She sounds like a lovely woman.

And if Obama's attacks are beneath the Presidency, then so are Romney's and he is seeking that office. That argument might be useful if Romnay was taking the high road and running a positive campaign, but he's not. Both men (and their campaigns) are guilty of smear tactics, and it's very disheartening. Obama seemed like a new kind of politician, who at the very least was trying to be positive, but that didn't last long.

I am definitely not voting Obama no matter what this election, but in all fairness, Romeny has more millions than Obama so it isn't a big deal go without governor's or president's pay. The huge difference is that Obama thinks he ought to control the economy and Romney doesn't.

why is this suddenly a problem? is it just because he's a mormon?

and no i'm not voting for Romney, but this one particular criticism of him seems rather underhanded really.

I dont mind his Mormonism, but to say he donates millions to charity and is such a nice guy (when in fact it is to his own church) is not genuine. Its giving money to your own orgainzation. Does some of that money go to charity and poor people? Im sure some of it does, but it is still different than giving to a charity where you dont hold a position in (he was a mormon bishop)

There really aren't any shots you could take at your opponent that are "beneath you" when it comes to presidential campaigns. I'm a hundred percent positive that Ann knows this and is playing politics a bit herself.

Also I don't see her telling her husband to stop lying so much when it comes to the president so I don't know how much this matters.

Hopefully I stay here in a ball of fire

just another reason why politics and politicians have no place in goverment.

"It isn't necessary to imagine the world ending in fire or ice. There are two other possibilities: one is paperwork, and the other is nostalgia."

the entire idea of politicians and electing people with no experience or training to run a country or state or anything is stupid.would you let a chef run your accounting agency, a football player conduct your orchestra or have a lawyer conduct surgery? the country should be run by trained professionals and should be regulated and judged by the people not selected by them I.E technocracy

politics and politicians have no place in government.

Agreed. If politicians meant someone who had studied economics, philosophy, and history then they might actually be qualified for the job, but it is instead just a term for people who want power and success by being elected rather than being hired or industrious.

I also think the prevalent mindset that politicians are supposed to 'run' anything other than tax collection, which they then mostly pass off to the defense department, is absurd.

If she's anything like her husband she'll change her opinion on Obama's ads.

He's "Gonna catch fire." Such a **** joke. The guys a political machine with enough footage on him to show him support everything he's now against.

His attacks arent unfitting of a president if they are mostly true.
