Probably the first. I have fond memories of when I first got to play it.

I played Red Faction 2 and thought it was a pretty darned good game overall. It's been a long time though so I can't really remember too much about it other than that the level design was pretty cool and the combat kept me interested.

I loved Red Faction Guerrilla. Really got into the atmosphere and the way you could approach every mission with many different strategies - go in guns blazing; use the jetpack to get on top of a hill and snipe from there; drive a huge truck into the enemy base and crush everything; use that thermobaric rocket launcher to take out an entire building in a couple shots. And the big battles towards the end of the game where you got to drive a mech or a futuristic tank or other armored vehicles and blast everything to smithereens- that put a huge grin on my face

Red Faction Armageddon, oh I don't know. I played it for a few hours and put it back on the shelf. It didn't seem too terribly bad, I was just bummed out that they removed the whole open world aspect of the game, which was my favorite part. I'm meaning to go back and finish it some day.

Red Faction Guerrilla by far. With next-gen hardware, I'd love to see more games utilizing this (or a similar) engine in more densly populated environments.

Yeah same here. I also think Guerrilla is underrated.

All of them are so different, it's hard to choose. Red Faction 2 is the one I remember the least. The amazing destruction you can cause in Guerrilla and Armageddon is incredibly gratifying. I think Guerrilla would be the best one, but the overly limited ammo combined with endlessly respawning enemies is a match made in hell and make it frustrating to play. I'm going to say the Original Red Faction on PC is the best in the series.

#2 the best? What the heck? I've gone my whole life passing up on that game despite loving the first because every single person has told me that its "not very good".

Definitely Guerilla, I just love messing about in the destructible sandbox environment they created.

Are you kidding me? The first one blows them all out the water! The second one is pure trash. Heres a video of the first.

    The real Red Faction

Guerilla. I liked the first with its novelty destruction, I liked 2 with its goofy run and gun gameplay, and Armageddon has some nice bits and bobs too.

But Guerilla is an outright fantastic game; the superb destruction, the scale of action, and the wonderful sense of being a proper one man army resistance fighter - something the other games didn't nail at all.

Red Faction: Guerrilla. Despite it severely lacking an engaging story, likeable characters and a good atmosphere, the destruction was fantastic, and overall was explosive fun.
