I knew this would happen, people didn't believe the rumors about GFWL or insanely dumb graphical limitations. We haven't even played the game yet. I believe there will far more problems in PC controls and possible game breaking bugs when people start to play the game.

We've known it would be a straight port for a long time now. It will more or less look and play just like the console version. Luckily the console version was one of the most well received games of the past year and were getting +10 hours of new content and matchmaking.

I'm sure if so many PC gamers can handle Minecraft graphics in favor of awesome gameplay they can handle Dark Souls.

Not to mention the performance issues that plauged the console version. Plus KB/M > controller as usual.

This game will be rippped apart and modded. I bet within the first week someone is gonna find a way to increase the internal resolution.

    Well said.

This was expected from the beginning. We should be glad that they brought this over to PC.

Not often does devs listen to the players.

It will still perform better than the console version. My problem is the really bad textures

The 30 fps cap alone is a deal breaker for me.

The graphics will be equal to the console version.
The frame rate will be improved.
The control options will be varied.
The load times will be improved.

PC still remains the superior version.

Frame rate won't be improved. It's stuck at 30 FPS.

Frame rate won't be improved. It's stuck at 30 FPS.

the framrate stability will be improved, the console versions had major framrate drops in some areas

Why is this cool again? It's a garbage port, probably the worst one ever released.

It will look like utter **** unless you're playing it on a tv and standing far away. Just delay it, outsource it, or don't ask for full price.

Can't even buy this thing due to GFWL. Souls games are for try-hards anyway.

I have it on PS3, it is one amazing game but even after buying it day one I still haven't beaten it. Damn game is just too daunting and full of side stuff, not to mention I have to go through it again to get the second ending.

These issues are small potatoes and more people complaining as usual, I can understand some of the complaints but for a port of a year old game from a team working on a budget (and trying to get the next Soul's game on the table too I assume), its a lot to ask for them to build a new version from the ground up with perfect optimization and features. Its an amazing game as is, and some of these issues are unfounded.

Yeah, still buying this. A dev with zero experience on the PC actually listened to us and is giving us a shot insofar as is possible with the game, and maybe they can see that there is a market out there and that on their next game they can plan for a PC version *ahead* of time.

lol, who am i kidding it's going to get pirated to hell and back still buying it though!

Consumers shouldn't care about what is happening inside a dev company. They should expect and receive a quality product and that's all that matters. I've played Dark Souls before, and I think it's an amazing game. However, if they are going to take the time and effort to port this game to the PC, they should then meet the standards of the PC platform. I don't think these issues are minor at all, I think these are glaring flaws in a product that hasn't even been released yet. Already we have people forgiving From Software for these issues and calling these problems "minor" complaints. These people haven't even played the final PC version yet, so how do we know that the problems will stop there?

I really don't understand how Dark Souls gets a pass on this stuff while other PC ports are flaked and burned for simply not having a quicksave option.

I couldn't agree more. Hopefully people will vote with their wallets, but most of the people in this thread will fall for it. That's why developers and publishers get away with everything. People wave their money at them for less than quality products.
