"Guilty pleasure"

Start off developing shoddy games for a basic console in a very limited set of genres. Use the money and fame you generate from game sales to get access to more genres/styles of games, hire better developers or specialists, get licenses for better or more widely distributed consoles and eventually build your own console and take over the world.

The game follows the real history of consoles so if you know your Sega Saturn from your Playstation you will know which horse to back and make games for a platform that will be successful.

There is just enough factors going into making a game like using the same designer to do the graphics over and over will cause him to get jaded or his work to be "samey" and unoriginal so you have to mix it up.

It's good fun and there is a lot of gameplay before you get to the end but don't imagine I will play it through again
