Those hardcover art-books that come w/ the pre-orders (I'm pretty sure that both Amazon & Gamestop were giving them out w/ the pre-orders...so maybe it wasn't a "store" thing where you could only get it through ordering it through a certain store...but maybe it was an "ATLUS" thing that everyone who pre-ordered the game would get the book; no matter where they bought it).
Anyhow - I seem to remember reading on-line somewhere a few weeks ago that these books were to be both *Signed* by George RR Martin...as well have some sort of note/Intro written by him.
Can anyone here either confirm/deny that these art-books are:
A). Signed by George RR Martin, and
B). Have either a "Note" or some sort of "Intro" written by him as well?
Thanks-

The book is indeed signed by Martin, but I don't remember seeing any notes from him. Then again, I breezed through the book while sitting at work, so I didn't get a good look at the questiosn, answers (and notes, if there were any).

Huh...a "64 page, hard-cover art-book, *SIGNED* by George RR Martin"...sounds suspiciously like it can't help but to become an awesome & highly sought-after collector's item down the road.
So, hold onto 'em & don't lose them!

The book is pretty awesome. Love the drawings, the leather binding, and the notes. It's really a collector's item.

Mine is not autographed either, so I think it may be a bonus for specific pre -orders.

The only "digital" signature on my book appears on Page 12, right under the Cyanide team member's picture. I think that's Martin's signature since that's the only one.

chakramstrike posted...on what page is it signed? mine wasnt signed? O_oI finally got a chance to look through the book, and I *think* that the only place (at least the only place that I've found/noticed) that has anything that could/would be considered George RR Martin's signature would be at the bottom of
page 12 ...where he signed something to the whole team at Cyanide.
So, I *guess* that (if you look at it
*Really Hard* literally, technically, & semantically)...that would be why/how the promoters of the pre-orders were able to label the art-book as:
"SIGNED" "by George RR Martin"...and *not* be subject to being sued for some kind of 'False-Advertising'...
...Granted...(IMO)...calling this "signed by George RR martin" is, to put it mildly,
quite a *STRETCH*

I've been busy, but I'm looking forward to playing my copy of this game when I get the chance/time.
I actually, pretty much, lucked-out XD
I'd pre-ordered 2 copies of the game from GS (one for me & the other for a friend - who could care less about art-books)...so, I originally left the store w/ 2 copies of the game, the strategy-guide, and 2 of the sealed art-books (1 of which I opened to look through)...and today, I was browsing at the same GS while a friend was working...who -just for the hell of it- gave me *another* sealed copy of the art-book.
So, sitting here w/ 2 sealed copies of the art book + my own/opened copy...makes me pretty happy

Btw...I am on Chapter 3 right now. Loving the game so far. The lack of interactions with NPCs feels a little weird but the gameplay and the story more than makes up for it.

So, would you describe the combat as more turn-based or real-time/action?

It's real time, but you can slow down time when choosing abilities (the game doesn't pause, the battle just slows down).
