Whoa...

Seriously, this game is nuts. I turned it on, expecting some fun, arcade-ish, but my head partially exploded from the utter amount of insanity that Geo-Wars is. Think of Asteroids, only the asteroids are different types of multicolored shapes, and your ship doesn't control like crap, but rather very smoothly. Now, instead of six or seven asteroids, there are nearly 100 flashing bolts of laser fire, shapes of all kinds flying everywhere, stars rushing by, explosions, and ridiculously bright colors EVERYWHERE. SHMUPS and Asteroids had a baby apparently. It's really hard, but very staisfying when you start racking up major combos and points, as long as you're not on the ground shaking, with your pupils dialted, biting up and down repeatedly from elipsy. I'm serious, this is one game with a justified seizure warning. The only problem is that Retro isn't nearly as fun as Evolved mode. But even so, this is an incredibly addictive experience that will eat your brain faster than you can keep up with all the colors and shapes.
