3 Like This is obviously showing Kratos being a father. I dont think its sentimental, I mean at the end of GOW3 you were in his head and you had to hug your family to get past the mind warp part. He hates himself for what he did. And this trailer is just showing it. I think the end part when it zooms on the eyes of him he makes that transition from mourning to rage and i will kill everything that walks phase. I think its actually a good thing to show this trailer that the demigod as we know him actually has feelings!
I rather liked the trailer, though the music was rather unfitting in my opinion, its just pandering to this current generation of music, Ellie Goulding's music has been playing everywhere and it's kind of bugging me

@Maga4505 dude its a special version of Ellie Gouldings "Hanging On". the original is awesome as well but this one has an epic feel to it, lets hope they release a full version of this... :)

@Uruca eh, maybe they didn't have anything else to put in, so they just threw in multiplayer, I'd rather just have 7-8 hours of awesomeness, instead of 7-8 hours of awesomeness then 5-8 more hours of bullshit, maybe it really is for the better, it's definitely better than nothing :P
1 Like @Uruca Its funny that people like you complain that SP is ruined because of MP, failing to see that most the time MP is handled by a different team from SP. Also the game length is 6-8 hours because thats how the story is. Remember the story is written first, the game is built around it, they wont just tack on crap to the story they want to tell just to add some more hours. So please, dont talk shit about a topic you only know the bare bones of, and just take what other people say about game length as if its fact. God of War 3 is a 6 hour long game, and that had no MP, my youtube walkthrough playlist has it at 6 hours 10 minutes, and thats with all the cutscenes and so on...so again...please stfu.

The multi is no tacked on multi and stop being selfish, lots of us GOW fans (me) are excited for the new campaign and cant wait to experience this new multi. Try playin the beta on ps3 plus, you will then realise how great it is.
1 Like Yea the whole running around mad slashing all living things down play is starting to get a little old. I do recall Kratos dying in the third game installment. Is their no other way for them to re-invent this series besides these excessive origin stories?
@tmthywtsn his body is missing and we see a trail of his blood, so he either crawled away himself, or someone had dragged his body away, hinting at a possible sequel that continues after GoW3, and I do not find these origin stores excessive at all, I sorta like going back and forth, its like a Quentin Tarantino movie (if you don't like his movies then, oh well lol). Also these origin stories can reveal things that can build up the actual sequel of the game
@tmthywtsn If you've watched until the very end, you would find that Kratos corpse's gone. This could mean anything. God of War's suppose to be trilogy, but developers might feel that gamers may ask for more I think.

damn, great trailer... i usually dont really dig these live action trailers but this is just perfect... doesnt fit the kratos we know but maybe the game will show how he became that person...
Intrigued now, hoping they can pull this off. I don't mind seeing Kratos' battles that ultimately led him down the path to enslavement and guilt. And after this they should stay off prequels forever.

Kratos had his chance to save his family in GOW 2 and didn't take it, so this trailer means nothing
