This is one of the first games I played for ps2. This was so addictive when it first came out, I could not play any other game. The New York atmosphere for the first time in 3d felt so dark and greasy. The cut scenes are very well done and complement the tone of the game very well. You go around as some guy named Claude Speed who gets shot and left for the cops by his girl after a bank heist. Claude is than arrested, but on his way to jail(won't spoil everything) him and 8 ball manage to escape the police convoy. From than on you have this overwhelming feeling of freedom. You do jobs for crooked scum all over town till you get your money up at the epic and explosive climax. This game has so many twists and turns and ends with a huge BANG! The story took me 100 hrs or more to complete, but it was worth every second. This game has a lot more to it than people assume. The voice acting and story are very well done and the characters really feel alive for such poor graphics. Rockstar has created a masterpiece.
