I heard, not 100% sure since I kinda stopped reading somewhere that the game ends on a cliffhanger. just wondering if it does or not.

thanks. I may purchase this game.

Less of a cliffhanger and more that it ends with questions unanswered. No, "person hanging off a ledge" situation.

I liked it though, definitely a JRPG game, but as others have said, it takes a nice bit of inspiration from French comics in design.

It kicks off really well but near the end the pacing gets thrown off. It sets up a lot of sequel and doesn't answer a whole lot of questions.

That being said, the story was very enjoyable imo.

God, I hate it when people say 'JRPG' instead of 'RPG'. Soon you people will completely separate U.S things from japan. From clothing to cars.

Back on topic... The game is really unique. I didn't beat the game yet, but the story is good .

its one of those games were you're fed background infomation, but you dont notice it... and when someone brings it up you'll be like "oh yeah, i remembered that" or "oh, thats how it fits in"

the game is written like a poem i guess, but instead of having the poem read to you in the order it was intended its read in a random order
^if you've watched baccano, its kinda like that...

the story itself is simple but the way its told makes you think twice

I know I'm stating the obvious but it's because RPG's developed over in the East tend to have an incredibly different style compared to what the Western developers have. It's not as simple as a T-shirt.

    People already separate cars though.

You know what the real problem in that sentence is? Considering what JRPG actually stands for, he said the word "game" twice >_>

The sentence doesn't even sound smooth when spoken. I don't even know how that happened.

If you call gravity rush a jrpg then you could as well call Zelda a Jrpg. Gravity Rush is an
Action Adventure open world game with small rpg elements

the story is good, and it leaves a lot unanswered. It's easy to follow and gets you enough that you'll eagerly await a sequel to find out some of the answers to those questions.

If you really analyze the game you find that the story is somewhat complex and there are more questions to be raised than you originally thought. it's pretty good, nothing to be disappointed about in my opinion.

Didn't think I'd fire up such a storm with a simple comment. I just thought saying it had an "anime-style" story wouldn't be right.

I wasn't trying to start any sort of war. In my mind, JRPG's tend to be fantasy heavy while WRPG's lean more for realism. Guess it was a bit of a misunderstanding here.
