Will a guitar hero III controller work with this game???

Hey I want to get this game and I was just wondering if the guitar hero 3 controller is compatible with it or not because I definitely don't want to pay for another controller. Thanks.

Yes, all previous guitars, drums, and mics will work with GH5, whether released with a GH game, Rock Band, or if sold separately by a third party manufacturer.
Provided it's not, say, a ps2 guitar and GH5 on 360 or something ridiculous like that.

I use a Guitar Hero 2 and Guitar Hero 3 guitars and they work just fine for me.

yes, ALL guitars for your system will work with this game. Even the Rock Band ones.

Yes, the Guitar Hero 3 guitar does work. I play all the Guitar Hero games with my Guitar Hero 2 X-Plorer controller, because it still works, and I won't fork over MORE money than I already have for the new guitar controller until I have a valid need for a new one.
