I am sitting in a library right now with a sega saturn and 5 games are hanging out of my paper bags. I also have this game and the guitar also next to me. I live on the opposite side of my town from the library and it's raining :)
As a Rage Against the Machine fan, I thought the battle with Tom Morello was probubly the most epic thing EVER!
this is the first guitar hero game i ever had, and i never thought it was hard... i got used to it pretty quick, and by then 1 & 2 were wayyy too easy :D
This was my first guitar hero game, and I played the heck out of it, unlike the other GHs I played afterwards. Not that I'm sick of it, I just think the full band play takes something away. I don't know. World Tour and GH5 just don't feel the same as GH3 even to this day. I wouldn't mind if they released a new GH that focuses only on Guitar (possibly some kind of adventure mode that works) and have unlockables that actually feels rewarding, none of this customizing parts stuff.
i got it for the wii last year.my first guitar hero and now i can play expert and get 5 stars on allmost all the songs
Wait, im confused, you say that it's by far the best song list but you gave it the lowest score?
he says its a bad startin point for music games but it was wear i started and yeah i spent a had to spend a hell of a long time to get realy gd at it but once you can do most of the game on hard(i got to japan on hard be4 getin stuck and finaly givin up)you are prety much ready for any of the other music games out there. I got rock band recently and got through career on hard with no problems at all. Also done all of expert apart from 3 songs. Basically wat im sayin is if your willing to put time into this game, it is worth getin.
I don't really like to play GH3 because of it's loading time. It takes forever for my PS2 version of GH3 to load. I don't like it, it litterally takes about 4 minutes each loading time. It's insane. :(
Decent review. This game is great though. I have it for the PS2 and I wasn't really sad that there wasn't any online. The guitar is a bit better than the first one in my opinion.

I think he's referring to the 'jump' between them. Played it for the first time with a mate the other day and found Easy comfortable, went to medium and could barely keep up. Then again Im not good at these types of games. But was still heaps of fun.
Decent review but how can you "complain" bout the difficulty when there are 4 different difficulty settings. It's like if the next zelda game came out and after yo beat u (just like in the very first zelda) you could play on a harder difficulty where all enemies do triple damage. You can't say that the games not for noobs... just don't play the hard difficulty till you're ready. I mean come on if you're a noob start on easy... if u can't beat any songs on easy go to ractice mode and slow them down, this game is I think the best in the whole series (maybe tied w/ GH2) because anyone from a supernoob to a freak can have fun!
I think he had a lot of fun making that review... But seriously, it rocks. Both the review and the game!
The DLC for this game is amazing but it may have limited songs but the DLC for GH3 is hard but the songs will put you in a very fast frenzy and it's just mad. The song The Devil Went Down To Georgia is exactly one of the hardest songs (compared to Jordan and Through the Fire and Flames) it is brutal for your fingers and the solos are just that intense it's just overpowering. Guitar Hero 3 is one of the good reasons to play really hard songs and if you think the Rock Band songs are hard think again.
