It was a good warmup for Red Dead Redemption. I remember playing this and RD Revolver back to back. Right when I beat it, red dead came out and it blew my mind. I thought it was fun, but nothing mind blowing. I borrowed it from a friend. Burning the midnight lamp helps a little too.
i love this game so much that i got every single achievement for it, if you dont belive me you can look at my xbox 360 live profile[ bilalazam30@live.com ] i wish it had a other part, new one because this game was kind short and with no online gameplay............ this is best western game better then all of cowboy games i dont agree with this video review guy giving gun 6.4 and giving Red Dead Revolver 7.4 i played both so i think i know which one is better i even played both of call of juarez games and they were short too and not even very good storyline but gamespot.com gived it 7.4 and 8.5 to new one. i think gun should be rated at least 9.0 and 9.0 just because of it's graphics are bad i give it 5 out of 10 for graphics, 10 out of 10 for storyline 10/10 for controlling, gameplay 10/10 and 5/10 for challenges..........if you dont belive that i palyed all of those games you can look at my 360 profile bilalazam30@live.com [this game soild 225,000 copys around the world and about 1.4 million in U.S.A so it must had done some thing right and at that time only some people were in to video games compare that to today wher everybody buts a neww every mouth it maybe had sold over 5 or even 7million copys, so i like they should change guns rating for xbox 360 at least up to 8 [thank you for reading and gamespot please change guns rating] thank you
I enjoyed this game on the pc. Gonna get it for my new xbox 360, witch I got so I'm gonna be able to play Brutal Legend and Red Dead Redemption :). I know that what games U like is a matter of option, but I can't help to agree whit kirklandx that this game is worth playing and should easy - I mean real easy - get at least at 7.5 score in any gamers book ;).
I had this on my Ps2 way back and it was awsome. I do agree with what he is saying though in that it was ported from last gen to next gen, which now is quite unheard of. Regardless of the graphics though this is a fun game and if you like westerns you'll love this. You can probably find this in a bargain bin for the price of a rent (or maybe a little more) so if you see it grab it. I really hope they release a sequel to this and build on what they already have with a shiny new engine. We got Read Dead Redemption to look forward to for now anyway and that my friends looks sexeh!
I get what he is saying about the game feeling rushed. But I don't feel as though this game should have scored so low. A lot of people have left their comments saying this was a great game and a fav. in their collection. Too be honest with you, I agree with what a lot of people say about Gamespot reviews, they are biaest. GS definitely has their favorite game series/titles. Gun is a great game overall and anyone with 2 feet and a heartbeat should give it a try. PS; His review of the game in general sucked.
this game is good for 2 days (the boss fights are the highlights), its got good replay value too, but the gameplay is fairly shallow although the story is also very interesting i.e. quest for revenge and answers
