1) What cow/bear should i roll up for 120 points?
2) How big must you be to be able to roll up the present?
Oh, and any additional tips on the stage would be good.

For 120 points, there's a gigantic cow-bear hybrid that you need to roll up. In order to get him, you'll have to be at least 7m, 77cm, 77mm. He runs in circles around the stage, and is easiest to find at the pitstop area. Good luck, though. Rolling up the Cowbear is by far the most difficult task in any Katamari game. Check out the FAQ section for some tips on it.
As for the present, it's found in the garage of the pitstop area. Cars and animals will alternately pop out of the garage for a couple seconds before going back in, and the present is in the seat of a racecar. I got it at about 5m, but you may be able to get it while smaller than that.

The Cowbear is tougher then the 1000 paper cranes?

yes. in the paper cranes, it's just a matter of learning where they all are...
but in the cowbear while trying to get big enough to get the cowbear, if you hit a cow cone, a bear statue, a bear man, or anything else cow or bear related, the level ends and you have to start over.

I personally find the Roller Roaster on Katamari Drive the toughest challenge to pass half assed. But I'm fairly sure trying to go for 120 on the Cow/bear stage on Katamari Drive is a beast in itself.

Plus using GameFAQs for the Crane Challenge is pretty much cheating while you can do the Cowbear one much more easily solo. (Heck I almost done the Cowbear one a few times but never came close to finishing the paper cranes)
